Allied but Enemy of the Federation?

I am trying to figure out this Reputation, Minor / Major faction thing.

I am allied with the Federation, but I did some Skimmer missions against a Federation affiliated minor faction (Jet Electronics or something), which made them Hostile to me.
So when I approach their Hostile station, I am told "enemies of the federation are not welcome", and ships become hostile and attack me and I am refused docking. All good so far, I dig that even though my status with the federation is Allied.

However, when I approach a starport where the Hostile minor faction is present but not in control, I get a similar message "You are not welcome here, stop your approach or you will be shot", but every ship stays Green, and I request dock and I am allowed to dock, and I am even welcomed!

So why is the station threatening to destroy me, but allows me to dock? I understand that I am Friendly with the controlling faction, so why even bother with the senseless threats?

PS: Any hints to remove hostile status? I picked a few good paying delivery missions to the hostile ports, but I failed them because I can't land. I looked for CZ to get some bonds with them, but I did not find any.

This looks like a bug, the controlling faction should dictate what happens in its space.

You can do any mission for the hostile faction anywhere to regain status, going to its stations is not needed.

You'll slowly revert to a status you can interact with them over time if you stop doing hostile actions against them.

The bug is mostly audio but still quite annoying...

I don't seem to be allowed any missions for hostile factions. I know I can wait it out, but was looking for a way to be able to dock to their station in less than 24 hours. I guess this is not possible...

Be careful, if you get to hostile with the fed superpower, there's a bug that causes any station under the control of any faction (imperial, alliance, independent, doesn't matter) to randomly become hostile and try to murder you if another player enters the instance.

I know its not the bug you are talking about, but if you are doing things that make you hostile with a fed minor faction, they could make you hostile with the feds at large if you keep doing them.

Thanks Darty for the Tip. It was never my plan to become hostile with the minor faction in the first place.
I just had a Neutral reputation and destroyed about 12 of its skimmers for a few stacked missions. When I handed the missions in the reputation was demoted to Hostile.

I think this is FDev way to balance the infamous stacked skimmer missions.
