Allied with Sirius corporation but no permit or Marco Qwent

Currently I have Allied with the minor faction be don't have either of the two unlocks. Has anyone had this issue before?

So i checked the mission board and was able to get the permit (didn't realize that was a thing) but still don't have the engineer and that's what i was actually after

I think you have to then go to a station in Sirius now you have the system permit, and you will get a mission to get Marco invitation. It's been so long I can't remember but that's what the wiki says lol

I'll give that a shot seems strange if that is the case since the unlock requirement is friendly but you need allied for the permit. worried that jumping from cordial to allied broke something lol

You were right the mission was there when I docked. really confusing that they made his requirement friendly but also have to dock in a system that requires ally

It's not a requirement to visit Qwent right after receiving the permit. Your reputation could drop in the meantime.

in case someone finds this in the future with the same problem you don't need to go to any particular system. So long as the faction issues missions it will pop up, but it seems it wont offer both the permit and the engineer missions at the same time and you need to wait for the board to refresh after taking the one that comes up.

The friend I was doing this with managed to get his in the same station he got the permit.
