I can envision EVA dismantling of ruined ships by laser cutting along the lines that make them up displayed on the HUD one section at a time. (maybe get paid per section) Once a large or small section has been cut up like an odyssey door panel the player could retreat to a safe distance while larger machines at a port take the ships apart or special limpets attach and break apart the derelect ship out in deep space. New limpet designs could showcase swarms of smaller limpets that seemingly act together to stabilize a derelect ship or help break their skeletons apart into sections. Whole groups of friends could work to dismantle even large ships and we could get similar images akin to how player groups mine together. This is just one enticing aspect of EVA in Elite.
