CQC Already cheaters? maybe?

my question is more about what to do when you know a cheat, eve if u havent used. clearly this will not be accompanied of evidence of players using it. is a support ticket enough?

If I knew of a cheat that worked I would log a ticket for it (and NOT post it on the forum), so that FDev can deal with it.

The way I read your post would suggest you may know of a way to cheat, but that you do not use it. You are NOT accusing anybody of cheating. Assuming I am right, I would give FDev the full details of what you have found (what it does, how to do it, and so on).

You (anyone) really do(es) need to have some proof when making an accusation of cheating, which is why one report isn't going to get much attention. Someone losing a game could easily report the winner for cheating, just because.....

The date, time (Make sure you specify what time zone :)) and game sort (DM,TDM ect) would be the minimum I would guess, together with what cheat you think was being used.

Ian, assuming I do have evidence, and I could replicate, the thing is: it will not be accusing anyone of cheating, sobthe report cheating would not work in this case. I'd go for the ticket and see what happens.

thanks!

Ilo.
That would be best. FD cannot monitor every player in every game looking for cheating behaviour, it just isn't possible! So notifications like this about provable cheats are going to be usefull to them.

Have seen a dozen "obvious cheaters" (invincible shields, invincible hull, one-shot-to-kill weapons) and perhaps another dozen of "highly suspected" players (weapons more powerful than they should be, apparent 4 pips in SYS while firing lasers continuously, etc).
There are also plenty of discussions on Internet regarding how to hack in CQC...

So yes - it is a "hackers paradise". The only thing that keeps the hackers away is apparent uselessness of the Arena/CQC. (Not much in-game money, no global leader-board and nobody really believes in the $100K tournament..) So most hackers tried it, got bored and moved on.

I play quite a lote CQC/Arena (level >150) and I met only -2- players I would classify under "highly suspected". Both have a very, very high rank and are excellent pilots. Checked my video footage after the matches and even when I got the red power-up, they were so much better then me and I got killed many times. But as in CQC the matches goes down within seconds, there is never a clear proof - only if they installed a stupid cheat like 100% hulls. Don't bother to open a ticket, as you unfortunatelly don't receive any feedback at all. But this feedback would be great and building thrust, even to see that my assumption was totally wrong.
