Am i alone??? With never ever having seen a thargoid.

I found a bunch on You Tube videos, the same way you can find the rest of the game's content. :p

Jokes aside, those times that I had the time and will to go and find them...never had the "luck" to encounter a single one of them. So now I don't even bother anymore, if it happens randomly, so be it.

Funny, I got hyperdicted for what felt like the 13th time a couple days ago on my way to the Pleiades to hunt Cyclopses.

If you haven’t seen a Thargoid, it’s because you chose not to. They can be easily found, even in the Bubble.

Never seen thargoid in my "own" eyes.. That makes fun for RP that my character doesnt believe in 'goids due not seeing them. Just a urban legend designed to scare younger pilots not to venture too far into black.

CMDR Aakkonen.

*i have flown throrough pleiedas sector multiple times during my explo days never got' dicted nor saw those USS's*

Your character is denser than a neutron star XD

You can either get randomly interdicted or drop into a NHSS in the Pleiades, enjoy the view. Interdiction is a bit more interesting, but also more random. I'm assuming you're not interested in combat with them, so as long as you keep your distance no worries. Having said that, after a few encounters it's kind of "meh".

I've never seen one. I've also never gone looking for them. Alien encounters are for action heroes and drunk farmers, of which I am neither.

Been 'living' out in the Pleiades for a few years now. Not had a single hyperdiction, despite hauling cargo and alien tech.

Plenty of them out here tho, dropped into this distress beacon last night, Thargoids left after scooping all the pods, had to outrun them with G5 Dirty drives. Took a walk in VR along the surface of the Capital ship, could hear comms from the bridge when up close. As usual, 10 out of 10 to the Audio and Art teams.

@Aakkonen - The whole region is swarming with Thargoid signal sources.

I've taken out some Scouts, but never a full-sized Thargoid Interceptor. I have, however, used my very cold Keelback aptly named 'The Probulator' to take tissue samples (or 'probe,' if you will) the Interceptors.

I'm the same. I've been to a couple of thargoid crash sites in VR for ENG mats, but that's it. When I get Pimax 5k+ I'm going to check out the 'goids in all their wide FOV glory.

It's not even a joke. This game has tonnes of content, but it's difficult to find. Elite Dangerous is in a unique genre: "Play by YouTube"

Single-player campaigns would fix this.

You are not alone. I'm glad I'm not alone.

I established a forward base in the Pleiades a couple of weeks ago for a change of scenery. I see non-human USS's all the time w/ threat levels from 5 to 7. I rarely see a human USS out here.

I'm not a combat pilot so I don't just jump in to any USS I see. I've not been hyperdicted yet either. I've never experienced that one. Artemis Lodge is a nice place so come on out to Celaeno and have some fun. Its a beautiful space port with some other very interesting stations to visit close by.

They do look really cool. I'd say it's worth making an effort to go and see one.

For me, one of the most atmospheric places to encounter a Thargoid is "Penal Colony BV 2259" on planet AB 1 A in the HIP 16217 system.

I'm out there ASAP!

Got any more?

Seen as many of them as I really care to. Been shot at by them, shot back at them, turned a few into fine green mist.
Crawled around their installations, seen their wreckage. Not all that interesting or interested.
Basically just another form of pirate.
