It boggles my mind that so many of you are "meh" or downright against multicrew. This is the main feature for me in ED apart from walking around. The funny thing is that i dont want to be the pilot. I am tired of being the main guy. I just want to be the dude in the backround working the console, sit back and relax while some one else flies the ship. We have never had this option in a space game. I am imagening the posibilities for VR. Yeah it will cost a kidney to build a multicrew VR bridge but it will be possible. Just got my hands on the HTC Vive and maaaan it is cool. You can actually walk on the bridge of an Anaconda. I really hope FD does not mess this up. They need to give something to do to every member of the crew. I understand the negativity you guys have but if they pull this off it could be one of the most coolest feature in a video game. I cant wait
Because we don't know what the new gameplay is that will somehow make doing less, more interesting?
Because we're worried about balancing being messed around with yet again. How will a ship be multiplied in effectiveness per crew member affect gameplay? NPC ships with multi-crew?
Because we're worried if it's been properly thought through? Consider Powerplay and The Engineers and their implementation! Is it yet another marketing exercise that looks good in print, but less so in the game?
Because we're concerned after two years, we're still basically doing the same (simplistic) gameplay, but now with just more people on the same ship?
Personally, I'd rather be doing more interesting/involved game mechanics/scenarios, than a group of us doing the same stuff.
