Am I the only one hyped about that Guardian Plasma Charger and Gauss Cannon?

Can't wait to try these out! In the video the Plasma Charger is turreted so I hope there will be a fixed version too.
And the Gauss Cannon? This sounds good..

So what’s the deal with these weapons? I’m guessing the guardian one is for Thargoids? Do you have any more info on them like what sizes they come in?

I hope not as i’d really like to see some big weapons to fight the Thardgoids with. Guess they may go nice with the new Chieftan. Wonder if the guardian rifle is linked to the Ram Tah CG? If so we may only get small ones.

Looked pretty cool! Hopefully it has engineering available to it though, otherwise it will struggle to keep up with the up-to 70%+ damage boosting available to regular plasma.

I think this might be one of the weapons locked behind nearest Guardian Tech Broker but who knows. Could be CG based like AX modules..

I believe the intent of the Tech Brokers is to move away from CGs to unlock tech and make it on a individual Cmdr basis

There was in the beta filers for Human and Guardian Tech Brokers so assume the later is focused on Tech we reverse engineered from the ancient ruins

i can just guess, but hopefully that Plasma Charger is another Multicrew enabled weapon, where the turreted version acts like a fixed one without a gunner, and turns into a turret with gunner (and same DPS)
so, do we guess this is the plasma charger

Gauss Cannon?

Hehe, feels like good old MechWarrior II.
Huge gun, insane power draw, very slow firing rate - but darn fast projectile, very long Range and did seriously big holes :)

All that's still needed is a Neutron Blaster and an Ion Cannon then xD

Maybe, at first I thought the same thing.
But there's some small detail in the video that made me think it's not the case:

Look at the icon below the Plasma Charger, it's blue and might suggest this is the Guardian "special" weapon type.

But if you look at the Gauss Cannon, no blue icon, so it's maybe just another normal weapon, maybe locked at human Tech Broker, maybe available anywhere.

I think they're the other way around.
The first one looks like a rail gun with Guardian style triangular parts. That would be the Gauss Cannon then.
The second has a glow within the barrel, making me think that is the Plasma Charger.
I did like the PC firing in the release trailer.

IRL a guass cannon is basically a more versatile but harder to actually create railgun. So I don't think it's going to be a frag variant.

I wonder what, from the tech brokers, and in the Aegis Back-catalogue, will be in Size 1

Can we Guardian Tech and Aegis Tech up a Sidewinder (and Federal Eagle Mk.II)

They are pretty. If I can get something like a long-range high-powered c3 railgun (with a workable ammo capacity), or a better plasma-type gun, I'll be excited.
