While we're talking about engineering, what about adding engineering for mining utilities? Efficient / overcharged mining lasers and High Capacity Sub Surface Missile launchers would be great additions (along with large versions of both hardpoints).

We'd like to take a similar approach with AMAs: giving them a specific theme and ensuring we can answer as much as possible by working more closely with the dev team in advance. This will take some time to prepare, so you can expect AMAs to return next month.
Not just the developers - don't forget you also had a number of requests for more information from the writing team about lore and worldbuilding topics!

Why are module storage limited to 120 and ships to 40? Let us have double that please!
Is it possible to do a balance pass on useless engineering mods?
Apples and Oranges.
Module storage limit is 120 total.
Ship storage limits are 40 per station with a maximum that I don’t remember.

Here's on for the next AMA - are you planning to address the weekly (or more) server outages .. I know they come back, but ...

A question for the next AMA:

Are their any plans to enable multiple control inputs on the console versions of Elite Dangerous in the same way that is available on the PC version when Odyssey is released?

PC users have the ability to use Mouse & Keyboard, HOTAS, Foot Pedals, Control Pads and all manner of peripherals and map them according to their in game needs.

Console users can use either a Control Pad OR a HOTAS, not both as ED only recognises the input device you use to log in to the game with and there’s no option for using a keyboard beyond text input boxes in the GalMap or Livery.

Both consoles now both support multi-input functionality and mouse & keyboards and it would make a huge difference to gameplay and immersion to not have to unplug and plug in control pads & HOTAS when switching between ships & on-foot modes.

Greetings Commanders,

We've greatly enjoyed talking with you in these threads and look forward to answering more of your questions. For the time being however, we'd like to work on the feedback we've received about the (sometimes frustrating) number of responses given where we've been unable to share information.

Behind the scenes, we're compiling your questions regarding Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and working on answers that we can share. Last Friday, we posted a Q&A on Settlements and later this week we'll see the next one covering a different topic.

We'd like to take a similar approach with AMAs: giving them a specific theme and ensuring we can answer as much as possible by working more closely with the dev team in advance. This will take some time to prepare, so you can expect AMAs to return next month.

So long and thanks for all the fish...

Just checking in to see if this review of the AMAs has been done and when we might expect the next one?
Hey dj, there are no plans to resume the Q&As. We'd prefer to focus our efforts and resources on distributing content/development related information in other areas like official announcements and streams.
