Ammonia World

Very rare, this is my 6th, but the first time I took a screenshot.
Along with Water Giants and Earth-like(and certain stars like AeBe & C S W) these suckers have mostly eluded me :)

I've noticed that all Ammonia worlds have that marigold-ish tint to them. Gas Giants can have Ammonia as well, and are the easiest to spot to me. Their rings usually have some pretty noticeable gold.

I'm wondering, given we've Ammonia worlds, Ammonia atmospheres and Ammonia based life in GGs whether some Aliens may be Ammonia based. That would make for some interesting tra

I think I read somewhere that Thargoids are Ammonia Based...hence the importance of these AW....so much they are the second best paid single object, right after Earth Like Planets....

So far on my 100Kylie trip 30Kylies in I have 12 Earth like and only 8 ammonia, so they are definitely rarer than ELW's.

I have found an unknown number of ammonia worlds, approaching 10 I would think.

I have found 1 (already discovered) ELW.

I remember my first, I was in awe. Have you ever smelt ammonia? It literally makes me vomit. My cat litter stinks of it each time I change it. ew.

I wonder how water smells to these lil ammonia dudes.

I once found an ammonia world with life and no atmosphere which features in DSS4, and one with life around a T Tauri only 70mya old, which is in DSS5. See deep space surveys link in my sig for playlist.

I have found like 10 or 15, and less earth likes. All but one on the way to the core. Are there any in the 19,000 local space systems?

I had two Ammonia worlds this morning: one that looked like a metal rich world with lava and the second was an Ammonia WW planet (not gas giant) which was a first for me.

Has anyone looked at the mass of Ammonia worlds i found a fairly big one the other night

Very nice. The UC Records Book shows the largest Ammonia World discovered so far has a radius just shy of 28,000 km, so I'd venture to guess the one you found is one of the larger ones in the game. It's also one of the hottest, as the current record is 342K.
