Last night I was in my Vive with padded headphones heading back to my home base. I stopped off in a White Dwarf system then decided it was time to leave. The temps were hot, so I dropped a heat sink. I set my FSD and as it spooled up I hear the countdown 3... 2... 1... the sound surged for an FSD jump and then everything went black. First thought was OMG, is this some form of new hyperdiction, but nothing happened.

I raised my Vive to find the house was dark. A massive power failure had occurred. I have a UPS on my PC and I'd run the battery down playing as I could not see there had been a failure. The countdown had coincided with the battery running out perfectly.

Well, unfortunate, but brilliant.

Most power cuts I experience are at the worst possible times.
The most heart wrenching one was when I was a kid, playing Sonic The Hedgehog II, I'd spent all day, gathering all the chaos emeralds, beating all the bosses, I had loooads of lives for the final super sonic level, which I'd never completed. I got about half way through the final level.
Bam.
Power cut.

Sonic The Hedgehog II had no save slots back then.
I had to start over. From the beginning.
I've still never gone back to complete it fully. Lol
