I think that I'd have to agree that an Educating Ed along the original lines might not really work, having been in a few, as disorganise said it's about teaching Ed something new but moreover introducing the community to a part of the game they've not heard of or are unfamiliar with the workings of. If something captures the community's interest and needs to be spread further then an episode can spring up around that, which is how we ended up doing the last Canonn one because of the interest around the Unknown Probes at the time and with Gamescon around the corner, so the rescue is a prime example though I can't think of what you could teach the community (other than the obvious
).
As marx said, we could talk for hours about our exploits, especially in the early days being the first to bring back stories of adventures to the Pleiades Cluster in a bog standard Cobra MkIII, or the Crab Nebula, but unfortunately you can't really sell that as 1 - 1 1/2 hours of livestream
I quite like the idea of the newsletter, maybe try speaking to Brett about the viability of something along those lines. I know Frontier were looking a while ago at expanding the way they get information across to people.
I'm quite surprised of a couple of omissions from the list, so here's my additions
Esvandiary Aside from all his work alongside Jackie on decoding UC surely anyone who's ever travelled near the core owes him a massive debt for his work on route plotting near the core
Zenith/Akira Masakari For the combined efforts on decoding the planetary sounds in the System Map
