An interview with one of Elite Dangerous' most hated

This has to be the most interesting article I've ever read:

This daring journalist probes deep into the psyche of one of our galaxy's greatest criminal masterminds. And he ends up discovering a shocking truth:

...that the galaxy would be utterly void of purpose in the absence of our "most hated" commanders.

Update: the article was removed by its author due to forum drama, though an archived copy of the original can be found here

If under purpose you meant trouble? Than yes... Sadly, I cannot classify this kind of "purpose" as a purpose, but a pain in the back what's must be rid of it as soon we can, and considering the open / group players proportion, Safe to say, most of the Commanders sharing my viewpoint

Besides? the only thing i can feel toward persons, whom think to be like this gives purpose? Is sorry...

I think The most proper persons as exemplars are serial killers, geno and homocidal maniacs's and terrorists. :p
These three at least left a lasting mark in the world, Without Genghis china as we know today does not exist. Alexander? he introduced the greek culture to the whole world, built up Alexandria and it's library. Napoleon? Hes influence just as big than the other 2. But these rathernotsayingwhats?
They are just for trouble.

Lol.

How much did you pay that guy to write an article about you?

The only payment he received was honor -- the honor of being the only journalist to ever obtain an exclusive interview with the notorious Overlord of Eravate.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that his masterpiece will also be a shoo-in for the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism as well.

I suspect that similar to Punished Mobius your goal is de facto recruiting agent for Mobius PG by mass killing noob sidewinders in your vette. You guys both have quite a reputation as being serial cloggers as soon as it looks like your own shields are going down. I agree with the statement, though, that our most notorious villains help give purpose to an otherwise bland universe, but you and your buddy sort of fall somewhere below the minimum threshold for what I consider a villain.

"notorious Overlord"

Just another maniac amongst the 10 000's of the web.
Oh wait, i just made target myself right?
Yet again? He is just another one amongst the 100's who is hunting me. Ask me if i care, considering my situation in this case cannot possibly go any worst.

Edit; In the matter of fact? It's just matters not, what you think or say about them, what you do with them? You will be their traget and plaything anyway, if you let it. If you don't they still trying but at least does not get away with it, W/O consequences.

So... :D Ask me if i care?

I don't know though. I see what you're saying but remember the Wheel of Pain? Without his trial, Conan would never have become what he was. If he'd been put to the Wheel of Fluffy Bunnies would he have lived? No, he was forced to fight, to survive.

There is a distinction definitely, between 'interesting' griefing and being a hat but in large part that's down to attitude I think, both in the attacker and also too in the attackee. So you can either turn up your toes and wither away or say to yourself, "right then, this time I'm gonna makes it" ff you see what I'm saying.

Solo modes are also available?

No, you don't need to worry about Zarek hunting you. Unless you're a noob in a Sidewinder you're all good.
