An interview with one of Elite Dangerous' most hated

This has to be the most interesting article I've ever read:
This daring journalist probes deep into the psyche of one of our galaxy's greatest criminal masterminds. And he ends up discovering a shocking truth:

...that the galaxy would be utterly void of purpose in the absence of our "most hated" commanders.

I'll skip the article thank you, but I did want to say there is NO hate here.

My attitude on the subject can be summed up by a Forrest Gump quote: "Stupid is as Stupid Does."

In other words, actions speak louder than words.

And here we are with another "I don't hate you" . . . but . . . "I hate you so much I'm going to identify you as 'stupid' on a public forum in front of hundreds of people".

You're right, actions do speak louder than words; yours speak hypocrisy.

Fine have it your way. I'd never heard of you before you posted this thread, and I'll likely never encounter you in the game. However, purely based on your irritating behaviour here, and in the mildest way possible, I now hate you. Congratulations, you got your wish. Someone hates you. Now jog on.

My comments were directed at Greylock.

Nonetheless, thanks for the hate.

Nobody cares about you op. And let me prove it by telling you how I've never heard of you, how much I don't care about you, and how much you don't matter, or how much you wont matter in the immediate future, and bump your topic which is now up to page 25.

That'll teach ya.

I love that naughty feeling I get when Im wearing womens lingerie under my normal clothes in a public place...Im even added in a little wiggle when I walk ^

Is this thread a joke?

Zarek Null? I've been here an age and based myself next door to Eravate and never, ever, heard of the infamous, sorry "unfamous" Zarek Null.

“However, hope rekindled when CMDR Punished Mobius caught up with Raan by leaving telepresence and returning to his Asp, which happened to be parked near Raan’s location. He successfully landed several shots on Raan. Yes, Raan survived. But nonetheless, Raan received the message loud and clear: Zarek Null and his associates are not to be trifled with.”

I am in stitches that I get a mention in the article because of my ROYALLY botched hit on Raan. Like it was just comical really. The "Not to be trifled with" comes across as dark and sinister when in reality It was such a comical failure on my part. First time I grabbed Raan I managed to turn off my entire ship when I deployed my hardpoints due to the fact I forgot to turn my fuel scoop back off. Second time I managed to land some shots. But "several" is being generous like maybe a couple as in literally 2 shots landed. I fired pack hounds but he was too fast and out Raan both the missiles and my ship. Which was to be expected really since I was in my Asp "Solidus Comet" that I slapped some guns on as a last ditch effort to catch up to him. After that there was a mass server disconnect and then lots of confusion as to where he was and what was going on with lots of people standing around so I decided to start attacking other unarmed players which is where yet another comedic failure happens. Well it's a bug so not all my fault... I attacked an Asp who had a no guns and a crew. But the crew wasn't a crew it was actually a wing...thanks to that UI bug i went and got myself killed when his buddies showed up who did have guns...And that is the end of that story. Still I can say I certainly got more out of that event than most people who participated did.

Nope nope nope

It's a bit startling to read back through this forum; I had no idea that this was going on.

I would appreciate it if you could all please read my updated article: http://www.growngaming.com/feature/interview-elite-dangerous/

Here's the thing: I love the game and I do love the community, even if I'm more of a lurker than a contributor. Seeing this thread turn into a smelting pot for hatred hurts, because that isn't the reason I write. I write because I love writing, because I love gaming, and to share my thoughts with likeminded people.

The updated article says all it needs to. I appreciate the comments, emails, and Tweets. I wish it was under better circumstances, but I do appreciate you taking the time to read and debate my article.

All the best,

John

When I was *really* knocked out of the saddle was when feedback cascade torpedos first came out and Adle's Armada patrols in Eravate started carrying them. I temporarily lost control of Eravate. But they're not a threat to me now. Nor are you.

Considering you lost control of your system to me yesterday, seem I am a threat.

I calling foul on this whole most hated player in elite dangerous article, I know for a fact that the most hated player in Elite dangerous is CMDR Mobius.
websites and facebook groups have been set up to show their hatred for this player.

From the Original article

So, I don’t usually do this but I am deleting this article.

It has been brought to my attention that the thread in relation to this post on the official Frontier forums has turned into little more than a breeding ground for the subject of this interview to incite hatred from the community.

I’m fine with receiving comments from people who disagree with an article I’ve written – debating gaming topics is one of the best things about what I do. But, this has turned into something not worth debating.

I do not want my website – something I love dearly and put a lot of my personal time into – to become a vehicle for hatred.

Elite Dangerous is devoid of characters who I either love or hate; they’re just avatars. I wrote this article to highlight a character I wish had been created by Frontier to add some narrative. On reflection, I should have focused an article on the point that the game needs more purpose and more meaningful characters, rather than promoting the actions of the subject.

Thank you for reading. Fly safe.

I wish I could say that I didn't see this coming.

OP, he clearly deleted the article because of your behaviour here. Well done, now the article you were so proud of is gone forever.
