This letter is a pure RP notice, directed only at the in-game NPC faction/organization Azimuth Biotech, and not any particular player or player-made faction/squadron associated to them. It was written only for some fun poking at Azimuth's past/recent failures in the Elite universe. Let me also remind everyone that my character and her stories are not canon.
For the attention of Torben Rademaker, and company leadership in general.
This is Kira. I'm sure you remember my name all too well, given how you abducted me nearly three years ago for your fancy little project to create a human-piloted Thargoid vessel, and hoped I'd pick off where it last failed. Too bad you never gave me a chance. Such a shame, wasn't it?
I'm writing this letter - and I'm going to publish it openly, just so you know - to remind you that people haven't forgotten your blunders from over the years. And is there ever a lot of those to pick from. Where should I begin... oh, I know.
The Alexandria. That was my tipping point*. We'd only just learned about your oh-so-innocent and well-meant experiments conducted in Project Seraph's facilities, and you just had to go and sabotage an entire megaship to steal its cargo of Guardian artifacts, while leaving its crew to die miserably. But hey, at least you kept your employees guessing whether it was actually you committing war crimes.
And speaking of which - I'd guess that we can throw Cornsar into that category too, seeing as you scattered your conveniently stolen - I'm sorry, acquired, Guardian cargo into the system to attract the Thargoids, while pretending that you had a network capable of predicting their attacks. Oh, and good job framing Aegis like idiots because you couldn't have someone with enough influence in all of society try to be reasonable and stop us from supporting a genocidal maniac.
That's all the Proteus Wave really was, wasn't it? The foolish dream of a delusional egomaniac, whose only purpose left in life was a petty, selfish vendetta to see a multi-million, possibly even billion year old spacefaring species wiped out. For all the talk that Seo - and I, probably - are delusional, you've never really taken the time to look in the mirror. Salvation never cared to advance humanity. For him, it was just about vengeance. Fitting, I suppose, that your two most prized creations are just like him, then.
Since I'm also now on that subject... Nemesis is that one blunder you couldn't allow yourself. Everything else just led to some condemnation until you pulled out the next shiny weapon to keep the powers that be distracted - frankly, I don't understand how you were allowed to continue existing after the colossal failure that was the Proteus Wave. Every other company would have been dismantled completely and never allowed to return. It made the failures of old Aegis look like small mistakes, and yet, you keep persisting past your due date.
Not for much longer. If there's one thing I can assure you, it's that people won't be buying into the lies of our self-proclaimed Salvation, continuing to exist in your precious Nemesis Failsafe. Not again. He is the one reason we are in the war as it is now, and he has more reasons to be dead than alive. Not to mention this is straying dangerously close to creating an AI. And that little bird in my ear is telling me those may not exactly be legal. How are you going to dig yourselves out of this hole?
Funny, that, too... isn't it? Almost like you haven't actually changed, and just tried to hide it all along. Not that you did a very good job of it - every time I gave you the slightest benefit of a doubt, I was proven right in my decision not to trust you, even before I learned why I'm a mess of human and Thargoid bits [on the inside] now. Maybe you shouldn't have tried to keep Aegis' reputation sullied. You know, that one organization willing to look into your messy web of lies, without turning a blind eye to your dirty secrets.
I hope you've started sweating a little. You certainly have a good reason to be feeling nervous. That runaway experiment of yours just had to dig up those files that you keep claiming are made up, didn't she? Convenient that you're trying to write her off as unstable and unreasonable, too. Like anyone would believe you know her, or that you have her best health in mind. I'm sure you wouldn't just try to forcibly take her and cut open her head to examine the implant more closely. And those mercs that came after us both definitely were not sent by you.
Anyway, this is starting to drag on a bit, and I stopped trying to sound polite after the first line already. I've said it before, and I want you to remember it - your time is coming soon, and so is that of Salvation. We will both relish the moment the light switch is flicked off, and your little empire crumbles in flames. I'll be sure to let the Thargoids in on things, too.
Yours truly,
Commander Kira Goto
*Or I thought it was, until you took control of my mind and deliberately got me stuck in HIP 22460 to be 'recovered' by you later. Suppose the plan worked anyway, but as with many of yours, not as intended.
PS: Seo and Aegis send their regards.
PSS: Don't bother trying to run a trace, I made sure you won't be able to track where this was sent from. And even if you could, trying to get me where I am now would be suicide for your company. Do try to stay in one piece until we get to tear it down.
