Anaconda speculation.

I think the Huge heavy duty cargo bay as you describe it is where all the cargo racks would fit, as seen in the interior render

I can see it all being a giant lift, that will be lowered to have the racks accessible. However how it will work and if they stay true to the interior renders of the ships... I guess we will see in season 3 :)

Only sneak peak of these renders from what I remember were only shown during Kickstarter and in some Dev video where DB talked about it and was showing the anaconda wreckage.

I bought the ship kit for it and had been looking forward to the kit for ages. Now that I have it though I've run through all the options and think I still prefer the stock appearance.

Lovely ship

By the looks of it that big thing underneath the Anaconda is where the SLF are launched. It's kinda hard to work out on this video but best I could come up with.

They must've added the hangar bays since you can see on this picture the T9 doesn't even have one (this was taken at around 1.5).

The T9 has it kind of hidden, the back part moves in a really weird way to open the bay

Also wait what was the speculation about?

Meh, someone just show me where the galley is.

Seriously though, great observation on the doorway that can been seen through the wreckage, Dusty.

Can't wait for spacelegs or ''elitelegs'' as people have started calling it, then we will be able to properly explore our ships. [big grin]

left to right:
bay1 is intake cargo - scooping and limpets as well as SRV deployment and intake
bay2 is SLF and fighter manufacturing. The ship can technically take a type 7 SLF module (60 fighters, 2 ready and parts for 58 more by assembly)
bay3 is outgoing cargo - offloading at ports and deployment of limpets. It has 2 rail launchers (that's why it's wider than the front)

All of this can be seen if you switch to external camera while deploying fighters or drones

I could be wrong... but it looks to me that cargo door 1 is the SRV hanger. The huge door in the middle is the SLF hanger. And the back cargo door is the actual cargo scoop.

Now, for speculation... the back cargo area that has the shading about the size of a sidewinder. Maybe Anacondas that carry sidewinders have to attach them outside of the hull? And that is where they'd go? The cargo scoop is then an airlock?

I will go with this theory . . .

Yeah that sounds really interesting. I would like that :p
But i fear it would still be too small, the sidewinder is just a little bit smaller than the huge SLF hangar bay

So, last night i was driving around my Anaconda once again to check out her stunning details. And as before, i was again wondering what some stuff might be.

Only this time i decided to share it with you all.. So we can speculate together.

What are your thoughts?

Not my picture, thank you whoever made it. I only added text.

Really curious about the huge cargo bay area..

That image made me think it would be an awesome ship to have in FTL.
