Anaconda vs Asp Explorer for Exploration

Never been able to fill all internal slots and use all A graded equipment on a Phantom and get the same jump range as an ASP. Yes, a Phantom has more slots - but if you fill them all up... I've not been able to hit even 50ly jump range with it because it uses same rated level 5 FSD Booster as ASP - but is heavier and can carry more stuff reducing it's range. I can only think you stripped the Phantom down on carrying stuff to match a full loadout ASP.

I had a stripped down Phantom and bought / have mining modules stored at stations along the route to Beagle Point.
If I was to jump out in to the black now somewhere else and not use my FC, I would just use a stripped down Phantom.
Fleet carriers have changed things quite a lot, once update 11 has dropped and I'll add the necessary services I'll probably set off somewhere and have all I need on my Fleet Carrier.

I'm happy with the ASP Exp being full loaded out with guns, best armour, and all A rated equipment and still doing 53ly jumps. I can't seem to match that (keeping a full loadout) with another ship - bar the DBX of course. I'm working on a Conda right now to see what it can do, but again keeping it fully loaded and engineering a lot to reduce the weight to extend the jump range. But so far... I think it's looking like maybe it'll be in the 40+ly jump range achieved. But that's fully loaded and all A graded stuff used.

But yeah, of course FC have changed that now with a 500ly jump range... but I don't have anything like the money for one of them. never even hit over a billion yet, and they cost 5 billion.
