Anarchy Raid in Yembo.

Pretty much. I, for one, think organized actions like your breathe life into this game and hope you continue doing it.
They could announce this in advance, so resistance can rally to fight them. They choose to brag about killing unarmed traders after they've already docked and paid off their bounties. That's not breathing life into the game.

Ah bless him, he's doing a bit of roleplaying.

Branding is a bit 'off-point' though. Took me ages to realise this little band of griefers was called "anarchy". You might want to look at that.

i agree, finally something that is at least a bit interesting since the whole "living and breathing universe" i failed to see.

yeah the paying off bounties is just low. i thought they at least had the balls to keep their wanted status... well at least something is going on somewhere :D

You're just toxic to this game, that's why I care.
Toxic, eh?

You realize how boring this game would be without conflict, right? If you want another group, a "good" group, to stop them you need to provide motivation - every protagonist needs an antagonist.

If you just say "I'm going to kill 50 traders at yembo after my sip of afternoon tea", no one cares. They'll probably laugh at you. Actually do it, instead of just talking, and you create a villain, a conflict. There are plenty of bounty hunters in yembo, and more arrive each day to oppose the pirates. Having something to oppose is a good thing. It creates player driven narrative, stories, which is what this game is about for a great many people.

Evening Citizens,

We all know that the new Station construction taking place in Yembo has attracted many traders and many more are joining this great cause day after day. The growing number of traders in Yembo thrown many surrounding systems to the brink of boom. metal supplies are bountiful and the effects can be felt as far as 250 light years away.

ORDER holds Yembo Independents and the traders taking part of this event responsible for this glorious situation. We applaud them for crimes against poverty and bringing wealth to the masses.

We will take quick and decisive action against Anarchy and those that would question the authority of Yembo or it's people and so we take extreme pleasure in carrying out this sentence and we ALL will do what has to be done.

I am pleased to inform Anarchy that you will lose your ships today and will not even be able to afford a free sidewinder.

This is a promise. Keep ruining the trade routes and ORDER will sweep clean your mess once and for all.

Yes, just like that Station camping Anaconda is.

I don't agree with that. If someone were to come here and outright state they're going to turn Yemba into a giant RPK deathmatch ground, people would show up to see if anything is happening, especially if this game were really as dull and boring as you all claim. They would get their fights against equally armed ships. I however do not believe that was their goal. Their goal was to get video footage of multiple ships of theirs blowing up undefendable trade ships, so they can make another mecha-voice-over video bragging about their kills.

This game has plenty of conflict. I saw so many "Empire rules, Death to the federation" players in the last weeks, yet they're not showing up to prevent the community goals of Banki or BD+03 2338, I wonder why. Probably because they'd only be running into well armed combat ships there, no unarmed Type 7s.

If he were to post "tomorrow at 6pm CET, we will kill everyone who enters System X" I bet there will be so many targets at System X at 6pm, they wouldn't know who to attack first.

and the whole RP excuse is laughable. All the systems surrounding Yembo that have been "pillaged" according to him are actually wealthy or in boom state, not one of them is poor. Because selling the stuff you produce for sales in large quantities is incredibly beneficial to an economy, not detrimental.

So i'm assuming all the traders you destroyed will be forced to go underground and play in solo/group. Nice one thanks for that. The C.O.D.E have been taxing this area for days, not anymore. What's a pirate to do? Your drying up our best income stream at this moment in time. The boys will not be happy.

Closer to launch I had seen people post almost that exact text on reddit and maybe even here. The overwhelming response was "good for you" and nothing came of it.

Actions speak louder then words. Actually killing people in system, versus just flapping your gums about.

Maybe because they don't want to partake in crappy-galnet-as-DM content? No offense to fdev, but a lot of those "conflicts", "uprisings", and "sightings of the silver comet" on galnet could really use some work. But credit where it's due - Yembo as a conflict maker is a resounding success.

And there are just as many, if not more posts bemoaning the absolute lack of substance and content for the actual Empire-Federation conflict. If I didn't read Galnet or these forums, I probably wouldn't even notice the existence of the "conflict".

An excellent example of player generated content - why would anyone begrudge this type of content?

It was a lot of fun chasing you around Yembo last night :)

I don't think these situations are comparable. There were far fewer players in a position to fight back as the game was full of newbies. Of course if a bunch of leet beta veterans group up and RPK, the new players won't be able to fight back.

That's pretty harsh. What do you expect? How could FD possibly satisfy you? :(

I love the idea of a hostile group of player !

Keep doing what you do, this is what make the game interesting !
And don't let boring people aka "STAAAP PVP IT'S WRONG" tell you how to play, let them cry in their corner :)

And +rep for you !

Actually if they keep giving players a reason to congregate (like Yembo), giving traders, bounty hunters, and pirates incentive to come together - I think fdev will do just fine. On the other hand, if they make a galnet article about "sighting of the silver comet," and then there's no "silver comet," well...

Happily it looks like they're on the right track.

As a Yembo pirate I rely on the fat type 6, 7 and 9s coming through here and deplore your inhuman murderous intent

i shall defend my fat friends from you

+rep

THATS the way to deal with that scum...
I dont mind the one or other Pirate, especially since i am in a trading Python... got my share of interdictions in yembo.
One of them even caught me pants down with a new outfit i wasnt familliar with. But no matter what: i will give
any interdictor the benefit of the doubt. Anyone who starts shooting will forfeit their "life" tho.
Especially those who kill for fun.

At the so called "anarchists" Think of a better reason to justify you mindless killing of unarmend traders for the kicks of it.
This one isnt even remotely believeable.

I like you. If you can successfully interdict me, I'll give you cargo just like I would any other pirate. Hey, you pirates have to eat too. So long as you let me make a profit, everyone is happy.

I don't care what you use to make it sound so horrible, it makes it a pain to listen to.

I'm sorry. I can't take you seriously with that ridiculous fake beard and moustache.

UP WITH ANARCHY!
