Thargoids killable for 5 seconds.
Nerf bat to everything.
No Type 10.

Bored.

2.4.02 - the worst update that removes anything interesting about 2.4 and any reason to log in.

Destroys passenger profits, not just balances them

Makes the mission board useless again by lowering mission counts

Nerfs the only weapon available against thargoids into uselessness.

...stroke of genius really.

There is more coming. Better weapons and bigger bad guys. Come on they have adapted to our weapons..... its all good funGe

Get doing the CGS to give more weapoms

I just logged in and the mission boards and payouts look the same to me.

It's been very hit or miss. Sometimes you find good paying missions, sometimes the board is filled with mining jobs. Other times, there's nothing buy low-paying data runs. Its worse than it was in 2.3 if you ask me. I don't even know what to do in the game anymore. My cargo run supplier switched to an all-mining mission board. :/

Try another station or system.

"Gimme, gimme, gimme."

"If I can't make 100 mil a trip, it's not worth even booting."

"I don't want to work for anything and want it all now; so I can complain about it."

Pretty much sums up most posts.

All I can say is, you haven't understood most posts.

Ive been playing for just over a year, and have earned my stuff. When I see others with cutters etc. I think wow, you must have slogged to earn that.
That's a good thing right. We cannot have harmless combat pilots flying round in cutters and condas within the first month of playing.

We need to aspire to stuff in game and not get it all at once. If we get it to fast, then it will get boring

Still no "add 1.000.000 credit", "increase rank" or "kill enemy" buttons in the game. FD is done. Done! I mean totally done! They cant be more than now for sure.

(after adding the 1.000.000 credt button - boring, i have to click to often... Want 100.000.000 credit button now)

I'd like to see FD roll mission rewards back to beta state.
Same for repair, fuel and ammo costs.

Those were the days, when missions barely paid for your fuel costs (300k to fill the t9 to 50%)
and bounty hunting was a loss in profit due to high ammo costs.
Repair bills could reach the ships purchase price.

The tears from the instant gratification forum crowd would be hilarious.

I've not noticed much difference in pay outs, getting 1-2 million for bulk passenger missions in the Beluga. I think they was more worried about the cash cow missions in Rhea etc.

I've an engineered Python and its REALLY hard to justify it with the current state of the game. What's the point of grinding if the more expensive ships don't help you grind more? Before today's nerf, big ships actually had somewhat of a purpose. Now the pay sucks and its not even worth risking the rebuy.

And honestly, the OP is basically right about 2.4 so far. All we've got is some minor QoL changes (That really should've been here last patch), and some Thargoid content that's locked behind a price barrier. No new ships yet, the mission boards and CG's have been nerfed to oblivion, and we still haven't seen a single new gameplay mechanic. I can't blame anyone for not being impressed with 2.4 right now.

I will never understand why people think this would make a fun game. I don't need a simulation to struggle with finances. I've got plenty of that in reality. LOL

I don't care for instant gratification, but the game has a poor sense of progression. Becoming 'Allied' with a faction or ranking up in an area doesn't seem to yield rewards over time. You get the same stuff that you did at lower ranks for the most part. The only other way to feel like you accomplished something is to get a get cool new ship.

You had to deal with consequences back in the days.

Short on cash and jumped too far? You can't afford any fuel and had to trade your way out of this system.
Got damaged too much in combat? See your bank account take a hit.

As of right now they could remove fuel, repair and ammo costs since they're basically a nuisance now forcing you to push some buttons without any impact on gameplay whatsoever.
This also had a big influence on the kind of ships people were flying.
The eagle was a go to ship for starters and the cobra seemed out of reach for a very long time.
Once you finally could afford a cobra or T6 the cash slowly started to come in, ships like the conda or T9 were only for the most dedicated commanders.

Now you hop through 3-4 missions in a sidey without needing to buy any upgrades and hop straight into a cobra.

Oh idk, my Cutters repairs can get pretty hefty if I let them.
