PvP And the Greifers Choice Award goes too.....

Should i swap "griefer" to "player" for this post to make sense?...

You seem to think that people playing the game as intended and enjoying some PvP is "griefing".

If you reside in solo how would you even know about the state of open anyway?

I wonder sometimes where this game's community is headed with threads like this.

Its getting more odd & confusing over time.

I really hope the OP's post was a joke and i look silly for taking it seriously.

It was both. ;)

I never really did PvP, But I did try to defend the Oracle evacuation when nobody gave a damn. unfortuantly I was outnumbered 4+ to 1 by Vultures, Condas and FDL's... surprisingly the majority of vessels were Vultures, I nearly lost my ship 3 times due to the immediate gangbang upon leaving SC.

There is a big difference between "enjoying PvP" and the Inevitable slaughter of unarmed transports. And yes you are right, to me I have never really seen PvP that hasn't resulted in the misery of an unwilling/ innocent player. I assume the difference between PvP and Griefing is one is Honourable combat whilst the other is the total opposite? :)

I think that the community is a bit confuse about what is grief... PVP is not grief!!! Pull some1 from SC IS NOT GRIEF!!! There is a lot of tactics and contra measures instead sit and cry

Grow up!

I think you're a bit confused about what a community is.

And I have seen the whole family together before, and it descended into a brawl in the parking lot.

edit: Wait, it was at a wedding. I mean ascended.

My favorite thing to say at weddings is "what side are you one".

The Chieftain!

With Beyond on the not so distant horizon, a lot of highly anticipated content is arriving. one of these many things is the new ship the Chieftain. However I am Experiencing mixed feelings for its use.

The Chieftain is a Fast, agile and hard hitting combat vessel that out performs the vulture in many ways. in case people have not noticed, vultures are very common Greifer Vessels, but due to the Chieftains speed and handling, even the mighty Cutter will never be able to escape it's sights. especially in groups griefer gangs are going to be more deadly than ever!!

Lucky for me I tend to reside in Solo after the Large increase of griefer activity and little-No justice being served regarding these actions. but anyone still in Open, Watch out.. the Greif-pocalypse is neigh!!!

Stay safe!!

Griefing will never be a problem for me. I have the galaxy all to myself :).
I love the Chieftain.

IMHO the Chieftain will be a force to be reckoned with.

But... so is any well-equipped Combat Ship in qualified hands.
So if anything, it'll bring more variety to the table. But in the end, incoming DPS will be incoming DPS, right?

For all I can tell, the biggest Threat i.e. to a Cutter or other Big Ships will still remain the Engineered Weapons. So "git grinding" to bring your own Defense/Weapons upto spec as soon as Beyond hits ;)

Farseer/Deciat should be an interesting place to visit in Open within the weeks after release.
I take it we'll quickly see there how many attacks will be run by Chieftains vs. other established Ship types and how well the new C&P System works :D
