And the idiot of the week award goes to .........myself!

I didn't know this either and I've been out exploring for about 2 months! (I only found out I could bind the System Map and Gal Map a month ago D'oh!)

Thanks for the heads up.

Congratulations Commander! You have taken your first step into a larger world :D

That being said, I could have handed your achievement to myself on several occasions at least. Proves we're all still humans and not some Borg Drones, no? :D

I bound this to the top button on the throttle control on my X-55 when it became available.

To make you feel better: when I owned my MKIV Golf I posted on the owners forum that I was embarrassed to admit that I'd only just found out the arm-rest can be clicked again to go BELOW the horizontal. (makes it easier to change gear and use the handbrake) The number of people that went "Really?????" was astonishing. So many came back and said that they did not know and thank God someone mentioned it :)

I spent a month in this game thinking that cargo scoops were modules you need to buy. And returned from my first exploration trips wondering why no station sold them.

So don't worry. :)

So after having explored several thousand systems and getting to the Ranger status, i eventually realise you can bind a key/button to 'Next system in route' And not have to trawl through the left panel Navi panel every single time. <doh> :)

Yup, took me about 1500 systems to figure it out after leaving Sol...

I think that has saved days in play time!

Z...

Let me be the first one to congratulate you with this wonderful achievement.
I have won the reward several times myself in the past.
Don't let it go to your head.
:)

I contest the award too. ;)

I've done things that were so stupid. I looked around to see if anyone had noticed. (When I've been alone.)

I been playing since Beta and only found this out last month. I now have it bound to my 'O' button.

There probably is loads of other that I don't even know about :D

Don't be too hard on yourself, the keybind appeared in patch 1.3 methinks.

It was in 1.2 - I remember being out in the black thinking 'wings schmings what's in this for me' and then finding that in the key binds and deciding 1.2 was brilliant.

It may have been in 1.1 without me noticing.

It definitely wasn't there in Gamma when I started and read all the possible bindings properly to see what there was.

Nope - it was introduced in 1.2 - it wasn't there before that. I remember trying it in 1.2 Beta, and thinking "Wow - at LAST!".

Hell, I'm a Pioneer and I didn't know that!

I only found it when I was looking at the controls bindings, in an editor, for keys I could use with Voice attack.
