The page has been taken down. Give us clue??

Weird... It was a story about a successful Full genitalia transplant for a wounded soldier. Frank, beans, and all... Wonder why it's gone

These injuries are sadly common and because of their nature, underreported. In addition to the physical disabilities, servicemen suffer psychological loss of identity, lose their spouses, and can't have children. Till now, reconstruction has only been very basic, with little by way of cosmesis, and zero by way of functional restoration.

It's a big factor in veteran suicides.

While the concept of a transplant as a solution is novel, it continues to pose all sorts of issues. We're still far from solving the problem, but at least there might be a new option for the men affected, if it actually works.

I'm a firm believer that almost all technological discoveries have been made and now it's up to refinement of design, miniaturization (and all the economies of scale it brings) is the only yardstick left to measure technological progress. Given enough tiny tools and tiny hands you can unscramble an egg.
Nano-medicine will eventually overlap with the precursors to molecular assemblers, obscuring the definitions of bio and mecha. Building a whole new body is easier than most people think and will be here sooner than most people think.
Hopefully in the meantime they'll learn lots from complex procedures like this to improve further operations in the future.

Despite the dramatic aspect of this accident :( and the positive aspect of the relative success of the surgical intervention :),

I allow myself a little humor, by asking if it is possible to have two ?

:p

That might lead to fainting because of the sudden drop in blood pressure :D

I just had a thought....
Having someone else’s gentlemen sausage stuck to ones self is going to make those solitary special thinking moments, somewhat awkward.

Flimley
