That was a bit of fun - I gotta figure out that teamspeak but I managed to turn in 175k of vouchers for the cause!!
Nice to meet you lot, didnt have much chance to talk and the railgun ran out within the first 5 mins so it was a hard slog from there!
When I turned up I saw a member running, with 2 cobras and a python on his tail!!

Hi guys, I'm in NZ and would be more than happy to join the cause.
I have spent the last couple of months in and around Apathaam, working with the Imperial Society.

There are nearly 20 of us now so apologies for not giving personal meet and greets like the first few got! However everybody seems great and a fair few have the TS server info so add as many as you can and see you in game!
If you need any info on the local area feel free to ask and im sure someone can help you out with trade routes etc if you can't find some yourself.

Looks like in group mode, the default Nvidia ShadowPlay Alt+F10 key gets overridden by a high res screenshot feature. So I don't get to relive the epic battles from last night... a bit of a gotcha to watch out for I guess. I noticed some other ShadowPlay fail threads, I wonder if they had the same issue. Remapping ShadowPlay dump key to Alt+F11 should sort it in future.
Teaming up with a group of players, affecting some change in the galaxy. Sounds like more fun than grinding credits alone without any real purpose. I think I might head on over soon and join in on the action.
Few lessons learned over the last few days of Guan Yun conflicts zones:
1. I'm not a very good combat pilot
2. The Federation presence makes it some hectic fights chuck full of Pythons, Anacondas and Asps
3. I'm actually quite a bad combat pilot
4. Upgrade your life support
5. Man! i'm a s**t combat pilot
Overall good fun though, but kept having to run off to Gibson dock for repairs.
Oh well, i will do my best to do my part for the glory of the empire!

I'm currently 400LY from Wangal on a bit of an exploration mission, determined to find an earthlike world and get the first tag. I think i already have one but i've no idea where as i didn't write it down!
Once i have that i will be back home to Wangal hopefully this week.
As an aside i redacted some of our expansion press release from a few weeks ago, at the time the two factions (one in shong and one in hip 17298) were on the brink of civil war and with a bit of effort we might have got one. This weekend the independant faction in HIP 17298 put on 15% influence in 2 days, basically it must now be part of a trade route as it got hammered by a T9 and some other lakons. Now the imperial faction we wanted to help is way too far behind and facing this kind of trade is not worth helping right now. In fact the controlling Empire faction is at risk of being overthrown by independents, so for the time being lets pretend that never happened and again focus on Wangal and Shongastyak. (and of course Guan Yun for those of you itching for some pew pew)
