ok yes reloading will help, but if you have a boxed animal and click on the box it gives you the same problem and u will have to reload. there is work around but!!.....

Maybe this helps, try verifying the Installation through Steam. (right click in Steam Library on Game).

This little bug is getting so annoying have to reload every time, the more animal / maturing you have the more chance of getting the bug.....no fix yet? this one needs fixing fast imo...

Have you tried verifying the installation files?

yep did all the above, was playing today and not had the problem yet so we will see

Hey there. If you haven't already, can you report this on our Issue Tracker so our developers can take a look.

I had this happen to me also in the campaign mode, only way to fix it was to reload the map.

Bumping this as it's still an issue. Usually I get this bug when clicking on an animal that is in the vet station or are beeing moved from one habitat to another. After that, i can't click on any animal and have to save/exit to main menu... Hopefully it will get fixed next patch, is pretty annoying...
