This has nothing to do with your own settings, it's just a "feature" of the parts in several building sets. It's been there for everybody since the game was released but most folks don't notice it because:
* it only happens with parts in a few building sets;
* those building sets aren't the ones people use the most;
* it's only visible when the light hits the parts at the correct angle, which is not 11am or 1pm, the most common times people freeze time at when building stuff.
Until a few weeks ago, I had always thought this "feature" was intentional, to make subtle, hard-to-see dividing lines between wall panels of certain materials, for realism. After all, most facades are faked, not really made of what they appear to be, and they have to come to the site in sections small enough to fit on standard trucks. So I paid it no mind.
HOWEVER, on 4 Jan 2019, between 1.10 and 1.10.1, Helena noticed this for the 1st time and posted this bug report on it:

And this is what QA-Mitch said about it:

And later he said this:

So, we're ALL (not just you) probably stuck with this for the foreseeable future. But it's OK because most folks don't even realize this is going on, and even if you know about it, most of the time you can't see it.
Thus, I continue to stick to my rationalization above, that it's panel lines. Even though I now know this isn't the case, it helps to think of it that way.
