another question-- any other explorers turn around and trying to get home before 1.3 hits?

So why should I care about 1.3 and how will returning help me with any balancing there will be? I don't get it.

No reason to rush back that I can see. I am halfway up the Perseus arm, and still getting further away. I see no reason to turn round or rush back.

They are being made more precise, more damaging, able to be fired manually, and will not engage non-wanted targets except in self defense (so they can't commit crimes on your behalf). How is this useless? Where in this do you see "omg nerf must complain"

in the beta forum. Apparently they can't track small ships at close range. threads are pretty clear. which is , well, pretty much the only thing I need them for. Keep people off my back after being interdicted.

Interesting, do you have Beta access? Have you... Tried them? What are you seeing that is causing you to think turrets are nerfed? And power plants? Go spend an hour in a neutron field, and that'll cover your losses.

Then learn to prioritise your modules, and nothing will change.

Nope, I'm not turning around. I am a poor new player and have little to lose. The 10% cut only makes it that much harder for poor, new folks like me. And the whole PowerPlay-let's-pump-up-combat is a big turn off for me so I have less reason to want to return to Known Space.

if I'm right, I lose millions if I don't sell now. If I'm wrong, I just rebuy the turrets at the same cost. I'd rather sell before the penalty kicks in, lose no money, and rebuy if turrets are in fact fixed

When it comes to retrofitting expensive gear... Good idea to do that before the 1.3 goes live.
I did and saved far over 50M Cr just by adapting before the change goes live.
Grinded/worked very hard and long for those Credits, no reason to toss them out of the Window.

Fixed role it'll be in the future - or pay up for the Flexibility. Big time. Just remember, moving back to your original loadout will be another 10%.

Says you. What I do with my credits is my business. If I want to save, I'd rather save. You wAnt to throw millions out the window, go for it. That's your business, not mine. And I'm not complaining, that's not the point of my post.
