I have a question.

Have you finished with the core game mechanics of PowerPlay? Is the experience going to get richer? Or is it just more numbers/reward balancing to be revisited in future?

Does major faction reputation decay make it harder for people who rarely play to climb navy ranks, ie do they lose progress towards the next Promotion mission if they're offline for a few days?

i tried opening a thread for which no replies came through

Powerplay: Do overlapping controlled system spheres collect CC revenue twice??

i ask this question, because in the prepration stages.. a system would show a negative 10CC potential profit.. which only accounts for Non-exploited systems within the 15ly influence bubble.. however when the preparation moves to expansion, The potential profit changed to 55cc, because of overlapping spheres of influence and already exploited systems

my two questions,

1 do two control points with over lapping spheres exploit the same system twice??

2 do the overlapping exploited systems get calculated twice in the CC overhead??

Combat ranking. As mentioned last week: 'Combat is based on the number of kills, but the points you get for each kill are based on the combat rank of the target relative to your combat rank so if you are harmless and kill an Elite ship you will get a large number of points where as if you are Deadly and kill a ship below Expert you will not get any.'

[...]

Chances that this will be read are low...but does this mean that the type of ship is irrelevant? An Elite Sidewinder will give me more points than a Dangerous Anaconda?

From my entirely non scientific testing, I believe that what you are asking is indeed correct... Ship size / type makes no difference.

Are there any plans to revamp exploration in general?
Not a revamp as the core system is solid, however we do intend to provide more things for explorers to encounter.

I'd like to see specific missions for exploring. Like, 'scan all the systems around xyz and look for a abc. When you find abc call it in and we'll send help. You still have to return to base for the reward but being able to send messages relating to specific discoveries would be cool.

In it's current incarnation exploring is a bit of a misnomer. What people are actually doing is surveying. With surveying you're not exactly sure of what you'll find but you do know there won't be any big surprises. If we get more surprises then it becomes more like exploring.

Hey there ! Anybody home ? :p

I am having passionate discussion about naval ranks with people on a forum.

The last answer obtained from FD came by the support team here : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=178603 (red text in first message).

The people i am discussing with are objecting me that there are known issues regarding bounty hunting and trading /effect on naval scale progression to unlock next naval mission.

So my humble request : from FD understanding is the support team information correct (link above) and is there still some known issues regarding trading, bounty hunting regard to gain naval rank missions ?

I haven't found any in known issues post.

So any clarifications would be welcome !

Probably more quickly than two months.

It has been awhile since the last ask the devs thread, and this is a topic that generates threads almost daily.

I think that, necromancy aside, this is an issue that does deserve a clear response, as it's a part of the core game progression that many players find extremely frustrating and vague.

I'm not sure where else we'd be asking this question, but if you have a better suggestion, I'd like to know, as I'd be quite happy to bring this question there myself - no sarcasm intended.

What's happened to the attachments in the OP ? The first one was the only official information about how combat ranking works.

PM the OP to find out perhaps ?

Game has changed a bit in 2 years..... Probably no longer relevant and expect this thread to be locked as a necro.
