Antarctic Tundra is hardly "antarctic"

So I recently opened a Franchise Zoo in Antarctica for both the chakllenge and also for the fun as I wanted to see if I could successfully run an a zoo in one of the most inhospitable places on the planet - Needless to say I was very dissapointed and upset when I saw that not only was there trees and grass, but also complete mountain ranges. I know that there are infact mountains in antarctica, but given that it is in the center of a tectonic plate they are relatively small and not anything close to the types of mountains seen in the distance of the map. I was also disappointed to see that the lowest temperature reached is only about -12C to -15C, and while I do understand that this is a video game and there are major limitations to it, I don't understand why at some point ALL the snow and ice melts and the entire map is covered in grass. I understand that there's just set maps used for each biome and continent doesn't matter very much, but it doesn't seem that hard to simply have a map with nothing but rock, no trees, and just putting a horizon in the distance for any zoos opened by players in the Antarctic. It could simply be a seperate "map" labled as "Antarctic Tundra".

Even though regional variation would be fantastic, I doubt we'd get such variation unless they make an Antarctica DLC. South America and Australia got custom maps now, so more regional variation with upcoming DLCs would be amazing. However, I don't think temperatures would change per region, as it seems to be tied to mechanics.

It's more the fact that I just want to feel like i'm actually in antarctica and not just any other tundra zoo, and while temp would help with that it matters little when compared to things like the fact there's grass, trees and mountains.

A change to Antarctica's tundra map to create local variation would validate a change to all other regions on the globe. For instance the Andean highlands have Aurora Borealis, which it shouldn't have.

Therefore I'm not sure how I feel about this suggestion, unless we receive an Antarctica DLC with custom maps like Missy suggested.

I get that, but I just feel like as Antarctica is such a unique continent and subsequently such a harsh place irl that it should, at the very least, not have grass or trees - Making a "regional biome" map for every single regional biome would be absolutely horrible for the devs and I completely understand that, but I also just want one of the most isolated and unique places in the world to feel "real" or at least more "real" than it does

There's like 500 researchers on the entire continent. It would be really odd to see a zoo there in real life. I feel like if they are going for realism then the antarctic tundra zoo is missing the point.

I'm so annoyed by the Trees there. There are no Trees in that Region. If we could at least somehow remove all of them. Grass does at least grow in Antarctica but I assume in Real Life it doesn't cover such huge Area.
I think Snow also melts during antarctic Summer but maybe only in the Coast Regions.
They could even replace the Trees with other Plants. The antarctic Plants consist of Lichen, Grass, Moss and there's even one or two Flower Species.

That's why my Parks there aren't Zoos but Research Centers that can be visited by Tourists (stupid Tourists that don't even wear suitable Clothes)

It's time I gladly swallow my own words! I'm so happy we have a unique Antarctica map now. I hope we get more unique maps!

Next Step is that we need at least one or two antarctic Plant Species. It isn't just only Ice and Snow there. There aren't many Plants but some Species do exist
