Any decent mining with RES sites near Sol? Anything better than Common Metal rich?

Hi

Trying to find a good mining site for my friend to mine at and for me to bounty hunt.

We originally were based at 58 Epsilon Herc which has pristine metallic rings plus handy station very close to the rings. The problem with this site is that it is too far from Sol and too far from where things seem to be happening because it is the other side of the Bubble.

We would be very grateful for any suggested systems which are better that where we currently are at 5 G. Capricorn, which has common metal rich rings. It would be awesome if there was a station in orbit we could store our other ships at and for convenience.

That's a great tool! We actually used it to find 58 Epsilon Herc. Problem is it only shows pristine metallics which are rarely convenient station wise.

Pristine metallics are the only rings worth mining if you actually want to be profitable.
They're the only ones where you'll find Painite, Platinum, Palladium and Osmium in reasonable quantities and they're the metals that fulfil mining missions for more profit.

I personally like Delkar 7 because it's close to Alliance, Federation and Empire space. You can choose to sell it where you like to improve your reputation with the faction.
