Any guides for assisting in Titan killing... WITHOUT engineering?

Does anybody attempted to at least assist in shooting Titans, but without (very important) any engineering?
Right now, the engineering is killing my motivation to play this game (incl. considering wiping save and deleting the game, if it's not possible), just because of the stupid collection of the materials (instead of just buying them for a reasonable price).

I just want to score the unique prizes.

Also, I wouldn't mind getting pre-engineered stuff, if those are available without stupid collecting.

should totally be doable without engineering.
You need caustic sinks (are these buyable now or do we still have to get some mats to unlock?)
You need the Thargoid pulse neutralizer. You just buy that.
You need something to damage the corn cob, ax rockets are popular. You just buy those.
If you are going alone, you'll also need nano torpedoes. You just buy those. One launcher will do you.
Other than that, mass hull points and if you aren't into being a hull tank, some shields.
Heat sinks are optional, but popular.
Often one uses a heat vent beam but that requires engineering. It isn't absolutely necessary, just awfully helpful.

I was thinking about bringing Enhanced AX MultiCannons, but in a FedDropship (along with Guardian Nanite Torpedo Launcher in Large Hardpoint), but I'll think to swap the guns for a missiles.

Nice summary. I think the caustic sinks will be the hardest to get, but don't let anyone tell you it's a grind. A couple of visits to the outskirts of a maelstrom will get the unlock items. The one that's cargo (I forget the exact name) can also be bought from carriers.

You won't be able to do titans without caustic sinks.

I'm using the gimbal AXMCs, they work fine. In the heat of the moment it's nice not to have to think about aiming much. :)
I think you need a faster ship than FDS. You need to be able to outrun Thargoids which hyperdict you jumping in, and interdict you while travelling to the maelstrom.

Caustic sinks are available just for cash now from the rescue ships, so no hunting required.

For a dropship here is the sort of build you could go for with no engineering / tech broker unlocks:

The biggest problem here as @Brrokk said is that it is slow, boosting at 327m/s.

You could go for a Mamba as that'd give you an extra 100m/s boost speed, but you do have to drop to just two AX missile racks.

Ah, I didn't know the caustic sink unlock requirement was gone, that's good.

I'm doing OK with a FAS ATM, but I can't say how it would be un-engineered.

Or use Advanced missile racks. However, the reloads are more painful than the engineering we're trying to avoid in the first place (and the stock mamba runs really warm).

There's a good point. You want your ship to run cool, otherwise the scouts will all see you. That's one reason I run shieldless.

OP, if you try any un-engineered builds, please post them here and give us a report on how they do.

How cool is cool enough? I'm wondering if I should try out some combat (after 6 years of deep space exploration.) My combat rank is novice. ;-) I know. I know. But if I am to get blown up again and again while learning combat, it might as well be part of the war effort--distract them while the real combat pilots take out the heart...

The experts will have an opinion. I aim for about 20%, although my FAS often creeps over that a few percent.

My cutter is about 30% but its tanky. The P2, well I don't know. I use the vent beam to stay down at 0.
I think the consensus is <20 heat.

Hit Indra's 2nd Heart with an unengineered Diamondback Scout yesterday.
All sourceable from regular outfitting and the rescue megaships for credits only.

In and out without croaking, or taking hull damage. You do need to have piloting skills.
A diamondback runs cold naturally.

Once you're in the heart of the maelstrom deactive the modules that are off in the design.
Keep your weapons stowed as you coast FA-off towards the Titan from the roids; idle near a vent.
Once you hear the humming and boiling reach a crescendo, deploy hardpoints and have at it.
I'd strongly recommend boosting straight up once you're done at the Core; you'll outrun the torus that way.

Yeah, I was thinking about something similiar.
Definitely ditch that SA & ADC and put some module reinforcements in there or a little cargo rack and a class 1 repair limpet controller. Needs some synthesizing of limpets though but a little repair won't harm...
Oh and as the DBS runs pretty cold on it's own maybe changing out one of the heatsinks for a second caustic one...

Ymmv though...

TBH I keep the docking computer in AX builds. A size 1 slot doesn't offer much else, and it can save your life if you arrive home with no canopy and the seconds ticking away.

Removed SA for two Module Reinforcements, and swapped HS for CS.
Of course, my max speed would be still 419 m/s, though...

I use a Kmk2. I have 1 heatsink, and 2 caustic sinks. 3 ax missile racks, one nanite torpedo, and one vent beam laser (engineered). So if you do not have a vent beam, just use more missiles, but you will need the caustic sinks. Rescue Megaships have the needed gear. I also have a 3a repair limpet controller and 16 limpets. I seem to use 4-8 repair limpets per trip to the Titan.

Your build looks good.

Realize you will take damage, and don't worry about it. I would watch a Twitch streamer Indra run or two or a YT vid or two on what a trip to the Titan and a bombing run looks like. Trying to figure it out and use a new ship loadout could be frustrating. Good Luck!
