RCT 3 PC Any New Expanions For 2006-2007 For RCT3

Sorry to tell you Rob....

It appears that the RCT line is a dead issue. Even if Atari were able to revive it, at this point, they have ignored their base so long that many have moved on elsewhere. About the only thing, ironically keeping RCT3 alive are the community scenery developers. Without them, this would have gone bye bye long ago!

Besides I am wary of buying anything else from a company whose red logo appears to be giving me the bird  Just my own feelings I suppose, but that just doesn't fly in my opinion!

Cheers to Chris Sawyer. I think he will get his RCT franchise back and hopefully sooner than anyone can expect.

It's a great shame to see no more expansions for RCT3. I'm pretty sure that they would make more profit than ThrillVille, but that's just my opinion... Thanks.

Its not only sad its a worlwide tragedy!

Mainly because there could have potentially been at least 9 more expansions that I envisioned for RCT3 before it moved on.

Anyhow, RCT3 is dead, long live the next generation of 3DRCG's to come out.

3DRCG = 3 D Roller Coaster Game

Essentially RCT as a product name is alive, but those who would wisely milk it for all its worth are near death (in a coporate sensualization). Thus RCT is quite and rather in a ghastly way...DEAD :D

In one word I'll sum it all up...AGREED!

But ironically the actual 3D amusement park market has only continued to grow and expand.

Whomever out there is able to realize and put forth a great and I do mean great product the base wants. They will be deeply rewarded.

RCT could survive as a brand name elsewhere, or Frontier could make their own game with a different name using the rct3 engine........just have to wait and see.

I think the second option is more likely.

EDIT: just wanted to add, that with newer Pc's RCT3 could still be a great game. Frontier won't patch it again now, but hopefully they'll at least continue to make the existing patches and expansions available.

I now have a new near top of the line machine. Game still bogs at about 1,500 peeps. Adding many flatrides plus a woodie can slow things too.

He ain't spittin' them out, apparently :p

I also am going to purchase a new system for the Next-Gen OS and for a better RCT3 experience :)

my machine specs...

Here are my machine's specs:
----------------------------

My computer is a custom designed system built entirely by myself.

AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 Dual Core 2.6 Ghz.
4 GB RAM.
2 nVidia 7950 GX2s in Quad-SLI mode.
ASUS A8N32 SLI-Deluxe motherboard.
Creative SoundLabs SoundBlaster X-FI soundcard.
ThermalTake Armour Series SuperTower case.
Lite-On Dual Layer DVD drive

I ain't having no trouble with RCT3 at all. This game runs as slick as a wet dream on my system!

Naw my old rct friend.

Mind pasteing the new PC specs on here?

Its not worth doing anymore. I actually deinstalled rct3 and have been working on my literary projects and others things ;) instead. I guess in a sense, I can look back and state honestly that I did my part when there were people who cared about publishing the greatest game ever  but now, I am doing other things.

It seems that many of the RCT3 community are rapidly disbanding, and a darned shame too, because this was one of the most loyaly communities I had ever seen.

Yeah the scenerymakers are churning out stuff and potential stuff, but in the long run, rct as a platform appears gone for good except the old stuff.

If Frontier continue to support it, at least unofficially, then it could be a future classic in a few years.

Shame though wild is virtually unplayable without the patches.

Not happening. The Future Is Ours!

RCT3 in fact the RCT series appears dead. Even if they did, I wouldn't invest one dime in it, because Atari/Infogrames will never get my business again. They showed they are in publishing (in regards to the rct platform) to produce a couple expansions, than re-fleecing their userbase for a brand new product. The heck with that, those days are over for the community who smartened up and myself as well.

We are tired of getting nothing or something from a game publisher that ignored us. Time to take our own destiny into our own hands and say the heck with giant greed, money hungry corporations. Besides why do we need to support a publisher like Atari/Infogrames when we can do it ourselves.

So to that publisher and the frustrations and mal treatment of their userbase and customers one of which I am, I say good riddence.
