Yep, he does sound a bit like Geddy Lee. I saw Rush too, they were great in concert.
I'm with the alliance because I want to be. As it happens my grind up to my current ship has somehow made me friendly with the perfidious feds but I'll just capitalize on that for the alliance in the future as I work on building alliance rep. Haven't taken any naval rank missions for either the feds or the empire, and won't unless it's to get access to stuff that I can use for the Alliance.
It's also because of the backstory RP for my character, but outside the RP private group I know that doesn't matter.
