Any thoughts on why the delay in Reboot/Repair

Haven't had to reboot/repair in ages. But then, I don't spend a lot of time in combat where I'd really need much of it. Last time I was doing the reboot/repair thing a white dwarf star was involved.

Combat with a White Dwarf is indeed harsh.

I don't think some have quite understood my point. The 3 or so seconds is ADDITIONAL to the normal time spent doing a reboot. It is an enforced delay BEFORE allowing you to even start the reboot process - which then takes the normal time to complete. It would seem to me to be completely pointless. But I figured that since FD have actually gone to some trouble to add this in as something new then there must have been a reason to do so - I just can't fathom what that reason might be.

Jukelo - you have to wait 3 seconds before the option to start the process, the Confirm button, becomes live and can be selected. I was not referring to the normal time it takes for a reboot to run - that makes perfect sense. It is just the seemingly senseless 3 second delay before you can even kick it off.
