Any way to set deadzone at bottom end of "Forward Only" throttle?

... Unfortunately the driver you need to make the T.Flight Hotas 4 work ...

I don't understand that - why do you need the driver to "make it work"? I have no driver installed for the T-Flight X on my secondary PC - it is recognised and calibrated by windows. Your hotas/FCS is just a joystick (axes and buttons) and surely should be recognised directly by windows. Have you actually tried uninstalling the driver?

The hotas x is made for xbox/pc. The hotas 4 is for ps4 both sticks are identical with the exception of button colors/labels and firmware. I'm pretty sure you need a driver for using the hotas 4 with a pc. All hotas sticks are really in short supply right now so I hope the one I'm using lasts another year (fingers crossed)

Good find and so nearly awesome! Alas it doesn't seem to do the throttle, only the main stick axes. :(

Aah bummer. A bit strange though, I was under the impression that a throttle axis is a throttle axis, regardless of it being a tiny slider on the stick or a separate unit.

Yeah I have three of the damn things. I don't want to change to a new hotas system because my muscle memory is tuned to the t flight.
I'm in exactly the same boat.

Make that three. 😅
I've been more than happy to restore my venerable T.16000 to active duty, and it served me very well during the latest shenanigans Speedbowl, but the sudden loss of throttle and complete change of binding setup has been jarring, to say the least. Got back to standard game activities using my jittery and imprecise, yet so much comfortable Hotas 4.

(Next one will be a Gladiator NXT though, no doubt about that.)

Hotas X has a PS3 / PC switch on it - so with the Hotas 4 you pay more for the colour, branding and not having a switch. OK ¯\(ツ)

Hotas 4 has noticeably better potentiometers (when the damn things work) than the X (far less waggle/deadzone in the middle). Someone gifted me my last one and it was so much better that when it broke I got another one rather than going back to the X. Their reliability is about the same tho sadly.

Silly question sorry Alec, but have you made sure no Grime or Dirt is blocking the Zero position on the throttle mechanics ?
It may just be its a build up of grease grime.
Yeah - it looks like it's the actual outer casing of the HOTAS that provides the physical end stop and there's nothing obstructing it. I did open it up, nothing obvious inside either. It's not just that it won't quite go to zero actually, it also gets really glitchy around zero too. Smells like usual duff potentiometer problem - sigh. Worse thing is that I've returned to being a Fuel Rat this week and I keep nearly booping clients while chatting to them 'cos I keep drifting forwards towards their ship!

I've ended up having a support ticket with Thrustmaster (hoping I can get a replacement as the problem has got worse if anything and is almost certainly hardware related).

Anyway, I heard back from them - a whole bunch of steps to follow re: unintstalling and re-installing the software (which unsurprisingly didn't help) and I've just sent them a video showing how bad the problem is. They did sent me a link to download the latest Thrustmaster driver software and since that was so hard to find (and the version they linked is newer than anything I found) I thought I'd include it here for the record (and in case it helps anyone else).

Alas there's a problem for the Hotas 4 - in joystick properties there's only the test tab which shows all the inputs. The settings tab with the calibration options is missing.

With some controllers if you hold down LCtrl+LShift before clicking on Properties, you will get the hidden Calibrate tab.
Works with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Doesn't work with my TWCS though, so it might not with yours either :(

BTW, could you please share the Thrustmaster Customer support contact you used? Thx.

Yeah, I read about that one somewhere else - didn't work for the T.Flight properties unfortunately.

For sure (you're not the first person to ask me this).

What I did was go to the following web page and then follow the "Contact us for this product" link at the bottom.

Note that this link is specific to the Hotas 4. I think you'll need to find a similar page if you have a different product.
