Anybody at Frontier?

Examples please!

Most I see are people wanting an argument, or to know the future, or asking a question where we already know the answer - none of which need additional input from fdev.

Thats complete rubbish. Over half of the posts that other developers reasonably address are to do with bugs / suggestions / missing features or flabbergastation at incomprehensible, non player serving game design.

You have a really selective memory.

What concerns?
I was thinking just today that things seemed to have calmed down a bit.

Are we playing the same game ? XD appart for exploit being rampant, nothing , really.

Also think about this if a dev / CM made CLEAR statement about something in the game , or question asked , do you think this question may be asked 1000 more time on forums ?

Like : are you going to fix SSD exploit ? Just something like" We'v seen it , working on it right now ,ect" it's like 5 min of their time. and it's supposed to be their work .I sometime think i'd be better manager than them. And i'm terrible at that.
Maybe i'm missing theses post tho.
But they are way way way to rare giving how well forums are workings.

Oh the drama!
I'd say 90% of that is coming from VR desperados, the rest from people who obviously can't play the game without a functional FC paintjob. The rest, especially the rumours, are business as usual. 😆

But that made me laughing! Sorry, Arthur, couldn't resist... :ROFLMAO:
Sorry but this rubbed me the wrong way. "Cannot play without a functional FC paintjob".

Do you think FD wants to take the tact that "you can play just fine, don't buy anything from the store for purely cosmetic purposes.. which is everything in the store btw.. and if you do anyhow.. lol you... then it doesn't work... that's your fault for not realizing you could play anyhow".

Dismissing the concerns of paying customers who didn't get their merchandise isn't the best business idea I've ever heard.

When was the last post from a Developer?
QA Team member?
Community Team Member actively answering and engaging with the community?

I appreciate that everybody is still working from home but the forums are buzzing with concerns, rumours and questions. Nothing is coming back from Frontier to its customers.

I have not checked the other Frontier games forums - I wonder if the company is struggling in lockdown or if it is just the Elite team that are having issues.
A few months ago is the last i seen

Hi there,

Seemed like at least a significant portion didn't want to know the answer, at least not yet, so I've not said anything further.

Thanks,
Dom

Not "his" game, but "the" game. Exploits undermine the integrity of a game and its rules. It puzzles me how easy players are ready to accept exploits these days. As if lengthy considerations about good game design never took place. Exploits are only one tiny step away from cheating. Exploits, especially in ED, also make a mockery of the better parts of ED's game loops, as it allows to easily bypass them and thus luring too many people who are to weak to resist into the more boring but more profitable game loops. Must be a modern gamer's desease who obviously have no clue what good game design once stood for. 😣 Thanks to this "acceptance", Frontier seems meanwhile actively design such exploits to please their customers, who think the faster the credits flow the better.

That's interesting.. because they're not actually exploits. Anything frontier doesn't like, apart from combat cheating, is patched out within 2 days, a week tops. Even though there are hundreds of bugs we experience, frontier consistently act in a very quick turn around if they actually decide they want to do it.

People like calling them exploits, but anything that remains left in the game is actually a feature, by design, working as intended.

FD had it right with meaningful newsletters and pick of the week / pre-recorded material. It can be done ahead of time, and you don't have to directly talk to monsters like me.

I get COVID has made things harder, but a newsletter and articles in written format are cheap and easy to do. Plus IwaNAt piktURZ nAHHHHWWW.
