Anybody else regret buying the Red weapon colors?

Being that Red is my favorite color it's kind of a shame that it's the weakest color out of all of them. The red lasers look ABSOLUTELY no different from the vanilla lasers, you would think it would at least be a darker shade of red.

Personally i kind of feel ripped off.

Sorry to ask, but have you been tested for color blindness? The default color of weapons is orange. Not red.

Apart from plasma weapon that fires faint red balls, that do need to be a bit brighter.

In VR it really does not stand out and neither does the Blue really. I am red/green colourblind but if I use the colourblind settings in games it looks far worse so I'm not so bad. I wish I got Green or Purple now.

BTW in the Livery my RED and BLUE labels look as though they are swapped around as per colour they appear due to the GUI HUD change of Light Blue & Gold Shields I use.

Anyone tried the Thruster Colour change key if this is implemented yet?

Have you mucked about with the UI colours? or done something crazy to your settings, red is pretty red on my system?

Yeah I feel pretty ripped off since the only weapons where it shows a clearly defined crimson red is the Plasma accelerator and the SRV's cannons. On ship's lasers it is a very weak red that looks indistinguishable from the vanilla orange. I was expecting something akin to the deep red that we can see from Engineered lasers - obviously they've got the correct shade of red already in the game so what gives Frontier?

And the Rail guns fire yellow... with the red colour on..... I mean seriously? Yellow is not red now is it. Out of all the colours I bought the red one feels like complete false advertising, in-game the red laser colour looks nothing like the red lasers shown in the store page image.

Yes funny OP should mention that. I bought the red weapons colour and while the MC's are bright red the lasers seem no different at all.

I was gonna complain but ho hum!

I really don't see how it seems weak, maybe someone can give an example of how it would be a 'better' red then current red?

When using red, my ships lasers look pretty close to default.

But multi cannons, point defence and car shooter, they have a pretty nice red.

Interesting. I wonder how many people have issues seeing color? To me the red and default are as different as blue and green.

Maybe it's a blue dress white dress issue. People with different color receptors, or under developed color sensitivities.

What makes me sad is the pictures in the store advertise bright red and yellow laser colours, but in game they are barely different from the base colour... [sad]

Any other weapons got the right colour, only lasers are wrong.
