Sorry OP but the poll options are flawed. You have missed out the answer:

"Yes I like Powerplay but it needs a complete revamp"

which is, I suspect, what most CMDRs still playing it would have answered. Or if not a complete revamp, at least enough attention to fixing the bugs and imbalances in it.

I did a bit of Powerplay for Eddy Mahon. Thing was none of the powerplay characters were like-able to me, not even Eddy. This new bloke Yuri seems to be nice to I think I will defect to him.

Li, Grom, Ed and the charismatic Empress are the ones who seem attractive to me. Li has the right ideas as someone else said, and he is the closest thing to star trek in elite universe. Grom seems to be a well grounded guy, Ed is PM of alliance. the Empress is not only charismatic, but also pays good - 240% bounty value at rank 5.

I power played for a few months after it was released and integrated it into my regular gameplay, it was easy enough to make a regular 5 mil/week on top of BH/missions trading etc. I stopped primarily as it made CG's and exploration difficult (due to interdictions and personal time constraints), I'd suggest being able to suspend Power membership for a few weeks without rank degradation would make it a lot more attractive as in it's current form it's a bit constrictive and limiting.

yes a 'vacation' feature could be fine.

In general I like the idea and with some tweaks it can be great. The foundation is there. Right now, I purely like undermining. Hauling for merits is not worth it for me. And switching on my PC every 30mins., in order to take more propaganda material, whatever, drives me nuts. Plus, I would not pay for that. Why should I pay, in order to deliver more propaganda for preparation, etc.? I hope, FD tackle the issue soon, since I like the basic idea very much.
Cheers

Has it changed anywhere after its release? If not, to me it felt way to time occupying. "Hey i would like to go out exploring" -> "Noo, you have to do XYZ to maintain your rank". Did it for about 7 or 8 weeks maybe after it was released, then i stopped. Was okay for the time beeing. But to me it simply needed too much time invested to get something interesting out of it. And the second thing that really bothered me as hell, was the unability to do something against people that did put stupidly bad systems to the table just because there was a nice trade route. Also, high up ranks should have way more voting power than they had back then. As said, dunno what has changed after i stopped, but that were my feelings regarding PP back then.

It's actually not a bad system at its core. It would be great for meaningful PvP and other things, but alas - it's all about solo grinding and just boring.

I don't partake in it. I tried it, got interdicted far too many times to make it worth my time and never looked back. If a revamp came, I'd give it another go.
