The question's in the title
. Anybody tried it yet?
Not sure that would work. A trip can last for ages and it just wouldn't be practical to get everyone online at the same time - I think the wing would just end up separated.
Having said that I've not really tried wings, so might misunderstand how it works... Just doesn't seem to fit my play style.
It work over 13.000 ly but We still don't know if the data are really shared over this distance
According to the Wings info from FD you only get credited with data scanned by a wing mate if you are both in the same system when the object is scanned.
Perhaps, but when testing it in the game, this don't function correctly.we figured out by reading Elite's manual page 47 or 93 if you're reading the paper version
Maybe it is, but I am so glad I went with a buddy. It was an experience like no other. I will never forget it.Lol, I can only see arguments here. I want to go to Sag A, I want to go to the arm. I have nothing against people who explore in a wing, but to me exploration is solitary.
Which confirm what we tested.BTW, be careful. You share scans but if you guys lose sync (like someone flies too far and you can't see eachother on the scanner anymore), one of you will need to relog to make it work again. Keep an eye or one guy will be missing out on all the firsts until noticed.
Which confirm what we tested.
Having a wingmate on the scanner is some 1800 LS.
