Anyone Else Experienced This Before?

In-game, I am trying to build buildings, rides, paths, or queues, but I can't do so. I am left clicking which is the setting for placing objects. I have already submitted a Bug Report and it's been a while. Just curious.

Thanks.

Please post your Computer specs... nevermind I found your dxdiag in one of your many threads

Your computer is far too slow and under powered. You will have to upgrade your computer

Tricky Mr Chris.
Your laptop "should" be quite capable of running PC on min settings. Iv been able to run it on my 8Gig Acer R7
.
Presumably this behavior occurs even in a fresh blank sandbox park?.
.
A real copy of your DXDiag would be most helpful.
To get it... Right click on the Windows Menu Icon to bring up the context menu. Click on Run. (should be 3rd option from the bottom) In the box type "dxdiag". Now wait....
Once the Tool has finished it scan Select "Save All information". Save the file somewhere you can find it.
Then, go to one of your Posts in the Bug forum, edit it or reply to it and Copy and Paste that Document you just saved into it....
Without seeing whats really going on with your system (it sounds like an OEM Acer build, so I'm willing to be theres a bunch of bloatware running) its hard for anyone to give a real opinion.

Funny, I have been using the same computer and it worked before. When I ran Planet Coaster again, I can't place anything. So I doubt it's something with my computer.

if you want help, you need to be more descriptive in your posts. when you say you played the game before, are you talking about the early access alpha? because it has been stated multiple times that with the additions of alpha 3 and beta, the minimum requirements for the game went up compared to the first alpha.

The game requires a very powerful computer. Do you know what type of graphics card you have? Are the specs you posted in the other thread correct? Because you listed a CPU of 2.0 Ghz and no graphics card, if that is accurate you are wayyyy to underpowered

They have nothing to do with it.

Generally when an issue is isolated like this, it is due to something specific in your hardware that may have been overlooked during development. The best way to show us that is by providing a complete dxdiag. As explained here: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=291

As Fraggle has mentioned above, make sure to post the contents of the dxdiag file in its entirety. From the screenshot in your other thread, I can't see what GPU you have, and that could be a factor in the issue if it doesn't meet the Minimum Specifications. The dxdiag will also give the team some other useful information, like driver versions, peripherals etc.

Also, you should follow through with your bug report from before, where a member of the QA team has asked if you can post a video of the issue for it to be looked into. Starting a second bug-report about the same thing, as you have seen, will only result in the same thing being asked of you. [happy]

I am having the same problem. When I try to place a path, building, scenery, etc., the game will not respond to my left click. However, it will respond when I left click in the main menu and in settings. My computer should be able to run the game.

Thanks

the dxdiag you posted does not list a graphics card. I did a search on your computer model, is this what you have?

http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-spectre-x360---13t-touch-laptop-m6w88av-1

that computer has a very low end graphics card, it is far too insufficient to run PC.

Please make sure you be careful before posting. I have already showed my DxDiag and I'm not trying to put my entire personal information into the public. I have already submitted my video to the Staff. You don't need to see everything I have on my device.

As creaper said above, make certain your PC meets the minimum requirements and run virus checkers etc. If you have contacted the staff via a support ticket, they should give you the information you need and the QA team will investigate your bug reports assuming you have sent them the video they requested. Without knowing what graphics card you have, however, there's not much more advice I can offer.

I really don't understand your confusion. You're computer is not powerful enough, you have not listed any details on your graphics card, and your CPU is too law anyway. If you really think your computer ran the game one day and then suddenly stopped working the next day, then you have a problem with your computer. Do you know about virus protection or system restores? I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what you're doing though

and I'm not trying to put my entire personal information into the public. You don't need to see everything I have on my device.
umm ok dude, nobody asked for personal info. a full dxdiag is not anything more then details about your computer hardware (and not your data) all I want to know is why you think your 2.0 ghz CPU meets the minimum requirements? Where is your graphics card info? Do you just not understand what minimum spec requirements are?

Hey Chris,

It seems like you are having some trouble running the game. As some other users pointed out your hardware might not be capable of running the game while achieving decent performance. But to determine why your game isn't performing as expected you need to share some information. Dont worry, I dont need any personal information. Just the basic facts. Could you please provide the following information:

  1. What hardware you are using to run the game (cpu, gpu, ram etc).
  2. Framrates. Are you getting stable framerates but they are low? Or high framerates with big framedrops?
  3. Temperatures of your cpu and gpu.
  4. Cpu and gpu usage.
There are different tools to get this information like CpuZ and MSI Afterburner. You mentioned the game was running fine and the next day it did not. If this is true you really need to share the above requests in as much detail as possible, else it is impossible to find out what exactly is keeping you from running Planet Coaster.

@emilie - I am sorry to tell you but you 4K Ultra HD laptop is not going to be able to run the game due to having a very low grade graphics card. You have a very fast CPU, good memory, a highly fancy resolution, and can probably play a lot of games with high graphics, but PC requires a much more powerful graphics card than the one in your computer.

How long have you had your laptop? You spent an awful lot for a 4K monitor, which wouldnt seem worth it on a 15 inch screen
