Anyone else feel like the BGS has become a full time job?

Then I need to be grateful to be in an area where almost everything works as advertised I guess.

Wow,
I understand what you are saying but WHY???

Why is it working for you and not working for a significant number of other players??

Jumping into a conflict zone, be surrounded by fighting both reds and greens and all of a sudden the centre of the CZ moves away at a speed uncatchable by any ship?

You then get wanted and a dose of notoriety if you continue the fight or... You run off trying to keep up with the CZ which is impossible plus you leave behind all the fighting. This is a bug we regularly experience in low-intensity conflicts and if we fly in a wing, in the higher conflict zones, if a ship goes away to restock and then rejoins the wing.... The green bar disappears and it is impossible to win that war. I could go on but are you saying you never experience these bugs?

I do NOT disbelief you, if you are not experiencing any type of bug, then could it possibly be some type of server issue?? Please note that is a question as this seems weird

Elections don't appear to work properly.

CZ are really only any good in a large ship, which I personally don't like using. But I'll do 2 hour CA sessions in a Corvette if that's what it takes.

I think the CZ ship toughness is supposed to corral cmdrs all into squadron activities. I can win battles in my conda, but its no fun.

I did experience bugs - not the ones you're listing though. I found the CZ I entered (High) working (I was there alone) and finished it in a timely manner (15min or so). After headed to the Station and handing in my Combat bonds I tried to return and found no ships. Only side events spawned which themselves were broken (Cap ship routing didn't update etc.)

If I changed the CZ then (Medium), upon arrival I could fight as usual again. After handing in the bonds and returned, nada.

Someone wrote somewhere that it takes a full 20min for every CMDR to refresh a completed CZ. If that's true it might be another precaution by FD to avoid farming Combat bonds (= transactions). Wouldn't really surprise me.

This was only done in a conflict that didn't affect the PMF I support, mind you. Before the 3.3 update happened we made sure to stay out of trouble or move the MF inside our Systems in a way that would only allow for Elections to happen should the worst come to pass. Remembering the 2.3 disaster and what followed afterwards made me overly cautious to these type of surprises.

So far we've had one successful Election, a second one started today and looks promising as well. Furthermore we've got a unwanted live Expansion but couldn't care less about it. Aside of that, our % in all the Systems we're in are slowly shifting up and down without making big leaps to either side.

What we noticed however is the staggering amount of Trading ships that is frequenting our area. Our HQ alone counted around 1700 today.

Yup,
I to do most of my fighting alone and I can confirm there is a delay in a Conflict Zone respawning.

My experience in a High Intensity Conflict zone is interesting as I like experimenting to gain information

Here we go
First example. High Intensity Zone, I could easily and I mean easily have won the battle in a sidewinder without breaking a sweat. I simply shot at one enemy ship, just one shot that did no harm to its shields and then I pulled back, got out my Castello cigar and simply watched the bun fight. we or I, won that battle. High increase in reputation

Next example
I tried EXACTLY the same trick when fighting for the enemy, the interesting thing here is that a capital ship came in and the side I was with which I will call the enemy, WON that war even though they were fighting against the capital ship. So the result was exactly the same, I fought for the enemy (I chose the side of the enemy so we were'green')

I hit one ship. sat back and even though 'we' were fighting against a capital ship, 'we' won. I never lifted a finger in that battle so did not contribute in any way with a victory.

Fighting in a High Influence Conflict Zone
Definitely concur with what you are saying regarding battles in this high cz zone that we fight single handedly, and apart from those two experiments, I have gone in with guns blazing and enjoyed a challenging battle.. Good fun

next Example
Fighting in a wing has ALWAYS proved disastrous.. If a player has to leave the Conflict Zone to restock or repair, the instant they return, the green bar disappears and we cannot, cannot complete that war. This is a repeatable and ongoing, unresolved issue which is so, so very frustrating and annoying.

As I said earlier, I like to experiment and have you been in a low intensity comflict zones on your own? I ask this because this bug only rears its ugly head when I fight on my own. The CZ moves away at a speed beyond the capability of any ship to match. I tried having two of us jump into a LOW cz, then the first person that enters, jumps out and goes about their own business and then, I can fight the good fight to a conclusion?

High CZ's are therfore a joke. If a sidewinder can win, what is the point. On other occasions, I have found the fighting to be just as intense in all three types of zones with just the added 'gameplay' of having Spec Ops, journalists or the captain thrown into the pot. We certainly do not have to shoot these villians and sometimes an NPC friendly ship might take out some of these targets??

Instead of having more and more 'Window Dressing' I personally would love to see the actual gameplay improve just like they have done in that most boring of things.... Chuffing minig :)
