Anyone else have occasional problems with ED on 32:9 ratio?

It's common for me to have brief glitches in games on my 5120x1440 screen - particularly with UI. Using a driver cap of 180fps for ED made this worse (as was stuttering when below 180), so I now use 240fps with Vsync as the only cap.

Occasionally, the graphics just break entirely. If not docked, the camera just detaches from the ship and moves away, controlled by flight controls. Then the pause screen may or may not be visible somewhere on-screen, like it's a 3D element. I have to press pause and exit the game from memory (up > press twice to exit to exit to main menu > up > press to exit game as the graphics are then broken on the main menu too). If I then go back in to the game, all is fine again. This never happened with my AMD 6800XT on Windows 10

This behaviour is unchanged after upgrading drivers on my RTX 4090. I have an AMD 5900x CPU on Windows 11 22H2

Here's a screenshot. After having to boost away from a fight because this happened. I got to watch my ship fly away from me

I'm thinking you're unintentionally activating the camera suite. Backup your binds using the guide linked below, then remove everything in the camera settings. The issue should go away.

If it does go away, restore your binds, and go through them carefully. I still occasionally get strange actions when I get in a rush (usually in combat). Unintentionally pressing multiple keys at the same time sometimes match totally different commands. There is also a possibility that a key/button is sticking just enough to cause this.

real odd

Doubt it is the camera. The radar is still present.

I would ask fdev in a ticket. See if they know of a solution

I've seen that. Happened with me on legs too.
I was on nvidia with 16:9 resolution.
So I doubt this is a driver/hardware/aspect ratio related.

Yeah it's definitely not the camera suite. The graphics break completely. You can see stars through the brown dwarf in the screenshot. When I used head look, some graphics move, others don't. It often happens without pressing any buttons or keys.

I noticed all reported CPUs in those issue trackers are AMD. Also use the steam launcher. Both of those things are true for me. Though I don't understand why it doesn't seem to be happening to many people. Strange.

True, I've never seen it before at least a few hours play time. I'll just have to restart the game after a few hours to try and avoid it - especially before a combat mission
