Anyone else just marking time until 3.0 drops?

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Turning it around, this is typical forum behaviour as well.

They'll release it when they're ready to. Not before. They may not know themselves yet since two of the versions require 3rd party involvement (Microsoft and Sony).

FD usually play their cards close to their chest, yeah. They are very hesitant to promise anything that they aren't sure they can deliver, be that content or release dates.

When they have a date, we'll know the date.

Yeah. Pretty much my routine for every update now. Try it out, experience as much of the new/tweaked content that my tolerance for grind allows, then put it down until the next update again in the hopes it'll be less hamfisted next time.

On my 1st account I might do a bit resource gathering ready to have another go at updating some of my ships when the new less rngesus -eng-grinding drops.

On my 2nd account I just reached Elite in Exploration, ( already there in Trade ), I'll be flying on to the Hawkin's Gap settlements to sit and wait for new planet textures to drop.

Not really bothered. The improvements are minimal and most of the bad bits remain.
All of the crew I used to regularly fly and wing-up with (we used to have "Wing-Wednesday's") have deserted ED because it is sterile & boring with no depth (their words). Instead they are all playing PUBG and a Pirate Simulation which they say is more fun that ED ever was.

I'm content to just have a bit of a giggle taking simple missions and rack up money trading.

I got hooked on They Are Billions. But I'm still off in <redacted> gaining rank with local factions to run <redacted> missions for <redacted> <redacted> amount of CR for about an hour a night in between watching zombie hordes make short work of my latest fancy base design.

Is there an actual time/date that frontier have given us for 3.0?

Carry on and keep calm here. Fairly new player so still learning the ropes. Currently out in the Black so while prettier planets would be nice, there is work to be done and exploration objectives to meet. Though if it is somewhat easier to do Engineer mods in 3.0, then a token diversion back to Farseer after Colonia but prior to Saggy might be in order!

Not really...

Currently I am doing long range (Supercruise) WIP passenger missions... earning about 70 million / 1.5 hours of gameplay.

I love Mining... one of the best activities in the game, but... after testing the BETA, I can no longer do that on the live servers, because of the QOL features comming in 3.0 regarding limpets / refinery.

Playing on the live servers regarding Mining compared to Mining in BETA (3.0), feels like knocking one of the wheels of a car and then try to drive it properly. :D

Well, let's see

All modules laid in and upgraded to G5 for Chieftain release?; Check
Multiple options for the size 3 HP's all engineered?; Check
Multiple options for the size 2?; Check
Credits on hand good?; Check
Enough credits on hand for Carrier?; Well, that remains to be seen

Engines presently at idle?; Check

I'm looking forward to some of the changes, but for the most part I'm just continuing on playing the game as per par for the course.

Started playing last December and grinded my way up to a clipper. Then grinded up to a-rated modules. Haven't done any engineering, waiting for anticipated changes for that. Got tired of the money grind a few weeks ago and stopped playing. Waiting to see what 3.0 has to offer. Watched chaos wolf playing subnatica on YouTube and been playing that.

I decided to wait in Colonia and do some missions and stuff before exploring again (Beagle Point this time).

Thre's no point going back out into the black if planets are going to look better and n-star jet cone boosting is going to be buffed (slightly I believe).
