Anyone else praying for a vr patch for tommorow?

Its pretty interesting how bad it really is. I run a 290x and have a solid 75fps in stations, busy sites and belts on high on every setting.
But too see how bad really is in SC, hit control-F to show fps and removed left DK2 lense to see the fps score,
and it droped to a steady 9fps after a minute in SC. And that system wasnt even busy. I guess it goes below 5 in any system
with normal activity.

Didnt think it was that bad! Maybe we get used to the horrible SC judder :)

There was a post about the latest nvidia drivers that fixed jutter somewhere, have you guys with nvidia tried those?

Devs - why is this issue and all the threads regarding the issue being ignored?

PLEASE UPDATE US!!!!!!!!!
You are not being ignored, they can't write feedback to every single of the ton of topics created, that's just impossible, they know the issue and are working on it, at least that's what I've seen stated, also try latest nvidia drivers if nvidia if AMD it is a KNOWN issue by AMD, so AMD is to blame most likely.
Also remember that oculus rift users are a minority of the gamers, and they can only focus 'so' much time on said minority problems.

If you are on windows 10 and a 290x i suggest you try the old Catalyst 14.12 win 8.1 64-bit driver
found here: https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2439/amd-catalyst-14-12-omega-win-8-1-64-bit/mirrors

It made my SC performance jump from 9fps to 75! I also tried a really busy system with 10 ships and 4 planets and lots of other
stuff and i still got 60-65fps in SC. So very playable.

I don't use AMD or Windows 10. Latest NVidia drivers installed. Happened on the previous drivers as well.

Really because they have commented a lot about silly things like cant hold down thruster button whilst waiting for undock because thrusters wont work untill you take your finger off and back on again. been lots of talk from FD about this but all we get is "we are looking into it"

It does for a hell of a lot of VR users.... Just look at the other threads, and those comments are from the small percentage of VR users that post on here.

It's the other way around. Only a small percentage of VR users don't post here.

Would you prefer if they weren't looking into it?

People are so silly for wanting the controls to work properly.

One minor annoyance when you need to release your finger from thrusters is hardly 'not working properly'.

One minor annoyance when you need to release your finger from thrusters is hardly 'not working properly'.
The thrust key's role is to apply thrust. If you press the thrust key and thrust is not applied then the key is not working properly. Since Alpha the way that keys have worked in this game is: you press the key and the corresponding action happens. Now it doesn't. Months and months of muscle memory and familiarity with the game are changed because of this bug.

Even if you say that this specific example - thrusters when undocking - is not annoying to you there are other examples of the same bug with the same root cause of controls being reset. Drop into normal space after interdiction with your silent running key held so that you will be hidden from your attacker: doesn't work. Set flight assist off and open the system map: flight assist is back on when you close the map. Hold down the discovery scanner trigger when you jump into a new system so you can start scanning immediately: doesn't work.

Maybe it doesn't annoy you. I'm sure you have a list of annoyances which don't bother me at all. It does annoy those of us who have complained about it.

The bottom line, to repeat myself, is that when I activate a control I expect the control to take effect unless the ship is damaged or in some other way prevented from executing my instructions. If it doesn't then the control isn't working properly.

This is the VR forum. Imagine you had to take off your headset and put it back on every time you opened a menu, undocked or jumped. That would get annoying in a hurry, I suspect.
