Anyone else stranded on the surface of planet?

I'm stuck, for now Im in UAV.
Can call my ship and get in, but when I try to Launch its Drive Engaging, at is followed by Drive Offline.

Now I have still weeks of explorer data, in my ship.
I want to know if I kill myself in my UAV do I get back to my ship? with data/explorer data & cargo still there?!!

Im new to Horizons, so I don't know.

Yeah I'm stuck too. I landed (badly 41% hull left) and deployed my lander.
My lander wouldn't move so I dismissed the ship. Lander still wouldn't move, got in the turret, turret wouldn't move. Now I can't get to my ship if I recall it as it lands a way off, what's going on!!!

Surely I don't have to self destruct?

I already tried a control reset, to default. My ship thrusters will not come online, when I try to Launch the ship.. :S

This might seem overly simple, but when you're trying to take off, you have to hold the right stick up for several seconds to engage your engines.

don't know whether this works on xbox - on pc the solution is always to such things to log into elite WITHOUT horizons (we can choose from the launcher) - you'll be in your ship, away from the planet.

Unfortunately we don't seem to have the option to choose which version to play.

(I guess it might be possible to remove the horizons "licence", then launch the game as non-horizons, be back in orbit, then quit out and reinstall the horizons licence....waay more faff than on the PC!)

I am also stranded on the planet. Deploy srv, but it will not move, dismiss ship, recall ship, it lands but proceed to ship stays red. Restarting console etc just puts be back to the same state

Bruce I'm in the same situation. I've been advised to check the control set up for ghetto services as apparently to start with it has no controls assigned to it.
I've not had a chance to check this, try it and let me know how it goes.

@Jermicdubya, Many thanks. It was that simple I really didn't get it. When I think of hold I think of clinking on rs that's holding for me.
Frontier should at de word like (second or 5+ seconds) to the description.

I will delete bug report..

The SRV control settings are not binded. Go to the Controls in options and either choose default or set them up in custom.

Looks like that has done it but do not like the way that the triggers are now power and the buttons are triggers will have to play with default or classic settings. Anyone suggest which is best?
I assumed this settings would be set by default or at least a warning that they had to be set before deploying it.

Yes, to default controls of SRV are not logical. Like boost its not on B, but LS push. I also noticed that that moving my head is sometimes stuck and only a relaxing in, will fix that. Only happens when you dock.

Ps sorry for my spelling, its my dyslexia.
