Engineers Anyone found Military Supercapacitors?

This seems to be one of those very hard to find mats. Anyone come across any?

Yes, they can be offered as mission rewards. I have two of them. Maybe focus on systems in boom state.

EDIT: sorry, I was confused (a lot of new names ...), I don't have these yet ....

Haven't seen them, didn't need them, so far.
But generally the directions that the Engineer gives you with every material are useful. So far, with one exception, I found everything where they said it should be.

Ive been looking for these for quite a few days now.

It says systems in war but the Galaxy map seems bugged if you search for State war the ones it shows are not in war.
I have done Combat zones for both War and Civil war and checked all types of USS in a system that had a War or a civil war in it.
But not found any Military Supercapacitors at any of the drop locations.

Starting to think that because the Systems show state war in galmap but infact are not in war, that is causing a bug where the Military Supercapacitors are not created.

I've experienced the same thing. The description and the reality don't really match up. The same can be said about Improvised Components supposedly found in "Systems in civil unrest".

I've made the same experiences.
GalNet bugged which makes systems with a war a bit hard to find. Also they apparently do not drop at CZs, but I've yet to check a CZ in a system with a war. Only checked one with a civil war.

I checked system that don't have a war, but have fractions at war with each. Checking these CZs, nav beacon, and USSs of those systems seem to have none of these mats.

Some clarification would be nice. Until then ill play something else, as the time wasted is too high for me.

Update for other people:

Found one as a mission: Controlling faction is currently at war, but the mission giving faction is not. This was offered as a reward for a base attack to kill skimmers at a + base.

This one does work but the controlling faction has to be in "Civil Unrest". Check the USS's (deep space), only took me two evenings...

Last example of this I checked, what was happening was the 'problem' faction actually existed in multiple systems having gone through one or more successful expansions.

With how the background simulation seems to work, a faction can only have one active state applied to it at a time regardless to how many systems it might exist across, so if it's in a legitimate war/civil war in one system then the other instances of the faction in other systems will have the same state applied (but hidden) as they're all one entity. So as far as the galaxy map is concerned it will display all systems they are prominent in as being in that state when really it's only true in one of their systems.

There's all kinds of weird quirks and glitches with how the BGS is fed into systems now with 2.1, which have likely always been typical for the BGS but had no obvious consequences up until now. For example with the mission system a federation corporation in a Anarchy system will generate combat missions by the dozens, but it works off of the local system state (Anarchy) not the mission target systems state (Which may be low or high security), as a result you'll have a high chance of missions tasking you to go to high security systems and then hunt down the dominant and lawful faction ships of a pirate designation.... which has a mighty chance of 0.0% of a lawful dominant faction pirate ship being spawned as part of regular traffic, even res sites didn't spew any out.

Lived in such a system for a week and a half or so post-2.1 and eventually got the Federation faction to be the dominant power and take over influence pushing the system to a low security rather than Anarchy, soon as that happened they stopped spawning loads of combat missions and the rare few it did generate worked properly and picked intelligent targets.

@OP as for military Supercapacitors, I believe I've found a few in certain conflict zones but would need to double check to be sure.

Ok so this is a real 'War' System. So basically you find them if the system is really a war system not just one marked as such in the galaxy map.
