Of course you have to know how to read the results. If the station's trade data is less than a few days old, and if it has a decent stock, it shouldn't be a problem.

OLD POST, but here in 2023, I'm doing the same thing, running around planetary station after another, trying to find landmines. INARA says they have it, they don't. Finally, after five planet visits, I "enter hangar" because I'm taking a break, usually I do everything on the surface. Low and behold, after commodities markets says no landmines, enter hangar, and they show up, as INARA reports. ENTER HANGAR, guess they don't like doing some business above ground.

ED is so awesome. I thought entering the Hangar to buy landmines was a bug, but when flying out of the system, I noticed I was carrying "Illegal Cargo" for that system. So buying landmines would be silly on the service where you can be scanned, you have to be "below ground" in these systems where such cargo is "illegal". Liz Engineer system is not illegal for land mines, so no worry there at all. 650 hours in, and still learning. Love this game.
