Engineers Anyone know where I can find Proto Heat Radiators?

Greetings Commanders
I've not had any problems in the past finding PHR. However I've flown around in SC for 4 hours in 5 different boom state systems. Not 1 high grade USS.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a system where I might find some?

Much obliged

EDIT - I've also scoured the mission boards for several days. Not 1.

I'm fairly sure I've got these from the aftermath of a CZ or USS battle against high value targets. If they are available from High Grade Emissions (not saying they are) then you will probably want to look in high population Independent systems.

Thanks man. Just after I read this, I found a HG USS. *Yippee*. Guess what. Interdicted. *Sighs*. 10 mins later, I find another one! *YES*. "Could not connect to matchmaking server." *Sighs again*

Time for a rest - going to pick the girls up from nursery....

i had no problem finding them in a) a high population b) independant c) boom system. lot of HGE, and one third hat PHE.

Thanks a lot, it worked like a charm.

However the system need not be independant,
as i found directly at the first high grade emission site
plenty of the PHRs.

The system was HE BO in alliance space.

Just don't do it in anarchy. Tried that found none. Went to a non anarchy system and found some almost right away but damn, the grade 5 one is sill hard. Only found one. Will need to try again to find more. Proto some other name.

Edit: proto radiolic alloys. I need a ton too to further light weight my courier.

System: BUNDA
Location: near the star
USS: High Grade Emissions

Other systems work as well but I found like 20 in 10 minutes there. And this was yesterday.

I'm very surprised that someone in this community hasn't already put together some sort of searchable database for Materials and where to find 'em!

[EDIT] Oh hello!

[EDIT EDIT] Even better!
http://inara.cz/galaxy-components

The INARA one does not denote system state, which is indicated on the blueprint tho. The google doc's one does, but some indicate better found in independent systems.

Neither link is updated with current blueprints.

Thanks tho, appreciated excitement :)

This is correct, there are no online databases that are up to date yet explaining where these materials are specifically found. Some will mention what state or faction alignment it must be, but does not tell you what other status flags overwrite the chances by other materials. For example, if you need Core Dynamics Composites, you have to go to a federal system and search High grade signals. No site will mention that it has to be "High Grade" nor does any site mention that other flags such as Boom will completely remove all Core Dynamics Composites from HGEs and turn them into Proto Heat Radiators. Maybe because it gets complicated at this point. In the system, you have to check and make sure no factions are in a boom state, anarchy state, war, civil war, and possibly others. The more that are in the "none" state, the more likely you'll find the Core Dynamics Composites.

I can personally validate though that if you go into a system with a lot of boom factions, you'll get those Protos.

I'm assuming there's a weird way they programmed in the chances that various components can be found perhaps by an untintentional hierarchy. If anyone were to make a site that listed these off with the best detail, they'd probably have to do a large scale study first and some crazy matrix math to figure out the optimal conditions for finding each. Something that considers the state of every faction in the system.
