Anyone losing power regulators?

Is anyone losing power regulators after leaving a derelict settlement? I sometimes turn on settlements that I visit for 'kill scavenger' missions. I'm pretty neurotic about making sure I take my power regulator with me, but they're disappearing.

I'll try to take a video with my last one, see how common this is...

I lost two recently. Am very reluctant to use one now in case I 'lose' another. Last time I tried the Regulator got 'stuck' in the housing and there was NO option to take it with me after use. I think this has been fixed, but still wary of using one until I know it's 'safe' (i.e. I will get it back) to do so.

I had that happen to me ... and then I realised that I'd looted a full inventory of goods in the meantime so didn't have space to pick it up again. It should really say "inventory full" in that case.

Not sure if I magically lost Power Regulators... but I refuse to put in my hard earned Power Regulators to power up a settlement, in fear of colored snake bites.

Put in your Power Regulator, and a Purple Python will reset the game, including your plugged in Power Regulator. Poof! No magic, just bugs! The other day, I had to re-kill 11 scavs, TWICE, on two separate missions due to colored snake bites! So, no, don't put in your regulators... EDO is too buggy for this play!

As to no option to take out the Power Regulator... happened to me once... turned out, my backpack was full. Dumped a memory chip from the backpack and all was well. Not saying that was your case, but check.

When you use them they become depleted when you take them out again as far as I can tell.
Definitely not a common occurrence if it happens, I have been running and and Peace this week and have powered up the settlement maybe 30 times, my power reg count is rock solid.
By the way, on the snakes… I’m not saying this is the case for everyone, but my internet was really shoddy, and I had a ton of colorful snakes. I switched providers, and I get 1-2 snake crashes a week. If you’re getting Mauve Cobras daily, or multiple times per day, it may be on your end. NOT trying to shift blame from FDev here, just trying to help out fellow cmdrs.

I've never had one of mine deplete and I power up/down settlements regularly. To the OP, I've not yet lost one but that doesn't mean there isn't a bug that I've just been lucky enough to avoid.

Well today I learned that what I assumed was a feature might be a bug lol

I have had this sort of thing happen to me over the past week.

Doing restore missions (from Iah Bulu mission board) in open, I travel to the site with team mate, insert the regulator, enable the power, and at that stage it goes wrong. There is partial power, to the data ports but not the doors etc. Ok, cannot put out the fires, so time to remove the regulator, leave and try again later. The PR is in the unit, until the power is offline and the unit opens. Then it vanishes.

I have read that in some cases, the actions of other CMDRs at the same place in a different instance can have an effect, so I have assumed that this might be the case here. Or maybe not.

Last week I lost 8 - I was in Pioneer store with 26 PR, to upgrade Dominator from G3 to G5, I upgraded to G4, then I missed something (not sure was it Graphene or Titanium Plating), I walked to bartender to exchange anything to have enough for G5, and when everything was ready I had only 8 PR (instead of 16).

That is a definite bug as there should be no external interference.
