The first 5 mins had me so excited.. mainly because of the soundtrack and next level graphics.

About 10 mins in wow the combat sucks.

About 15 mins in.. the only reason im playing this really tight corridor game is because of nostalgia. Uncharted does corridors better.

A bit later on.. the dialog is so basic. Sure the original was text based, but this is way more than an abridgement. Its just one liners... there was only one conversation and it was background dialog.

Its coming out in multiple full length games really?

Yeah bargain bin i think, once the full game is out. Also the framerate is really low (on pro) but it does look pretty so you're getting something in return at least. By the end the combat makes sense i guess..

Could never get into JRPGs. They have dialogues written apparently by 5-year olds, and stories are often convoluted pile of nonsense.

Played it, liked it, buuuuuut it's almost impossible for me to guess how that combat system is going to play out over the course of an entire RPG rather than a one-shot (basically tutorial) setpiece battle. I think there's potential I just can't separate the "simon says" elements from the interlocking robust strategic options. Looks great, beautiful and brilliant splitting of the difference between early 2000s sensibilities and more updated aesthetics, and for something like FF7 maybe that's enough.

I understand your frustration, given that you, having posted in this thread, are now legally required to play it. We'll be here for you while you struggle through it, hating it all the while, and you can rest assured that we'll look forward to each and every one of your broad, dismissive complaints about how it's Not Something You're Into.

I'm so very sorry. I wish there was another way. I wish you weren't forced to pay attention to this game that you arent interested in, and to write posts about how little you know or understand anout it in a forum thread dedicated to it, but alas we do not live in a world where anything else is possible.

Yup, the swords are pretty big and skirts are pretty short. Altho the artstyle is not as ridiculous as in most of those games. I cant stand anime and anime related style, but the newest FF is not that bad.

Ye it kinda goes all directly in the round bucket now that I found how to ban the anime tag from the Steam store feed. 2019 saw a massive deluge of cheap juggly boob delivery software flooding the platform.
