Is anyone else besides me having trouble with your apes or monkeys being put in the crate while they are climbing on the post and then get put back in front of the habitat gate because I’ve been having that since I first started playing the game does anybody else have this problem and a solution.

This usually points to an issue with the climbing rig. When climbing and jumping routines were tweaked in a previous update many of the older rigs became not viable. Some adjusting to the offending parts will clear it up.
I don't know if anyone has come up with the reason - but it is a common issue. My take is that if the climbing rig is too high above the habitat fence the animal is treated as escaped. So I tend to make my own barriers and use the null barrier and drag it hella high. It doesn't always work so it may also be like Grampers said: something about the climbing items and the climbing routines.
