Yup, looks like everything is there. Lets see how apex does on multi system jumps.Anybody else had this thought?
If the game can pilot you to and from, how long before there's a module for it in our own ships?

APEX Interstellar is, for all intents and purposes, a thinly veiled auto pilot. The game seems to be able to fly a ship from A to B without further human input than "A" and "B." Similar to how we knew the ADC was in game before it was a module, I wonder how long Auto-Pilot is in game before it becomes a module.Lol, wut?
Maybe not a module but a crew member? Still can't really see it happening.I wonder how long Auto-Pilot is in game before it becomes a module.
Yeah, but... we already have auto-launch, auto-cruise and auto-dock. Who cares?APEX Interstellar is, for all intents and purposes, a thinly veiled auto pilot. Well, I think there's a group out there that's been clamoring for an auto pilot....now that they see it in game, I imagine the clamoring will get louder. How much longer until "I flew to Beagle while I was sleeping" becomes a thing?Yeah, but... we already have auto-launch, auto-cruise and auto-dock. Who cares?

We don't need credit drains at that level. When the biggest ship in game is 5 billion, it's hard enough earning your way up to that level from practically nothing.Maybe not a module but a crew member? Still can't really see it happening.
I always thought it odd that the medium and big ships don't -require- crew. That would have helped add some credit drains..
We already have an autopilot. Again, what is your point? Are you pretending there is any kind of challenge when flying from station to station in a system using the existing modules?Well, I think there's a group out there that's been clamoring for an auto pilot....now that they see it in game, I imagine the clamoring will get louder. Which would be a fair point. Sensible auto-travel to reliably get to the actual gameplay is not a strange thing to ask for.Followed by the "I tried to fly to Beagle Point while asleep and died, I demand you make autopilot ships indestructible" threads!
I'm not saying that it does, no. I am saying it takes player engagement. Automating a flight to the far flung reaches of the galaxy is sure to upset some folks. I just wonder when/if the Apex Auto Pilot module will be available for our own ships. We already have an autopilot. Again, what is your point? Flying from A to B is effortless in ED and requires zero skill.
Apex doesn't go to the far flung reaches, and everything it does we already have. It's only unique ability is saving you three clicks to travel 20ly max.I'm not saying that it does, no. It was already part of your ship. Frontier shot it in the leg and called it gameplay?Anybody else had this thought?

I'll be honest: I dont care. There already is sufficient support for complete automation, and there has been for years. Every single time something happens in this game people jump from the bushes to proclaim the new great threat with the griefers and cheaters and botters and whatever. As an aside, do you want bots to be even easier to get up and running in great numbers? This level of built in automation certainly benefits those looking to do just that.
I don't really care about bots either. I also don't care if someone else would rather not fly their ship, pointless as I might find the idea of it.I'll be honest: I dont care. It never really translates to any tangible impact on my game.
